Parents evening last night. DS1 is working very hard but is having problems interpreting the questions in his science as levels. One teacher questioned whether it could be due to his aspergers. I was shocked as this is the first time the school has acknowledged his needs since year 7. They asked me for ideas how to help him so I will have to investigate.
    Wm is on
I'm off soon for a meeting about DS2. School are hinting he should be medicated.

    Morning all.

Up early this morning to give DD her meds and then get on with some jobs before she gets up. So I've put rubbish out, put last nights washing in the TD, and I'm working my way through the dvr watching my things. Next job is to secure the gems on DDs latest bridemaid dress while I can have the livingroom brightly lit. I will get it finished this week and washed hopefully. ;)

Got a Mr A delivery coming this afternoon, and I'm going to have to do more laundry. DD having a temperature means her bed and her smell already :(

Meddling Monday- Living Room, Hall and Stairs

Clean oven if it really needs it.. or just do the hob or a knob or the oven shelves
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc

I best get on before DD gets up and it all goes to pot.

JJTOU, please don't try to do too much too soon!

Dancemum, it's good to know that one teacher actually linked your DS1's Asperger's with the problems he's having - too many professionals seem to compartmentalise information without taking into account the effect one thing can have on another. The excuse often seems to be "information overload", but hey! we're talking about a young person and their future. Hope both your boys make better progress now that their needs are being recognised.

FBO, do you fancy a meet in B'ham soon? (just as long as it doesn't have the same effect as the York meet :()

mrs-mp, we have got pairs of all sorts of birds in our garden this morning - robins, dunnocks, blackbirds, blue and coal t!ts, wood pigeons...

I have made delicious pancakes for breakfast using oats, water, quark and eggs blended in the food processor and served with fruit and more quark. Off to SW weigh-in in a few minutes, so I've left half the batter to make the rest of the pancakes for tonight's treat ;) and DH :A is now washing up :)

    Today's list:
    - strip our bed and wash bedding
    - SW
    - measure spare bedroom and make decision on keeping or not keeping the desk and chair
    - if not, take desk and chair to local auction house's free valuation day
    - remind DH to book interim service for car
    - ring Kensal Green
    - sort website billing
    - download photos from camera cards
    - sort church notice board
    No pressure there, then!

Hope everyone has a good day.

I did today's list yesterday just by chance and today I will be attacking the upstairs of the house after I have finished my paid work. I made american pancakes for breakfast and froze the rest. It will be pancakes with ham, egg and cheese for tea followed by crepe suzette. I am also going to pack lunches for next two days. Make a slow cooker tea to put in the fridge for Thurs. Batch bake for lunch boxes. Print off all maps and necessary paperwork. It is server rehearsal at 7pm, so that is pretty much my day sorted I think.

Hope you all have a good day, it is bright and sunny here but frosty, as discovered by the motorcyclist on our way to school. We saw his bike slide by the end of the road but he was already on his feet by the time we had run to him. Fortunately he was wearing full leathers but he had smashed the visor from his helmet.

I may not need to appeal re DD4's high school place after all.. the idiot council did not send all the details through to the school so they weren't aware the other 2 were there.. nice lady hopefully sorting it for me today... I really really need some fabulous flylady vibes on this one!!! An appeal would be far too stressful and I have lots to do with parents evenings and stuff over the next couple of weeks.. and have Squeaks primary school allocation in a few weeks!

been round mils, unblocked a nasty drain, washed out bins and dustbins, sorted all the recycling that was in the wrong bags and paid the bottle bank a visit.
took a load of leaflet round to my friends shop, i do her those in lieu of a tip for my hair colours.
spent ages on phone this morning someone we know died suddenly and unexpectedly, his partner needs someone to listen. cant really do any more than that.

Sending lots of positive vibes Pigpen - hopefully they'll manage to get the school stuff sorted for you today and that'll be one less thing to stress about.

Lemanie and Ionafan - please can I move in with you?!? Those pancakes sound lush :) I completely forgot about pancake day so don't think we'll be indulging - I do have a packet of dosa mix that needs using though so may compromise and make spicy masala dosa later

Big hugs to everyone else, will stop procrastinating and crack on with a HHC now if anyone wants to join?

Minutes all checked, amended and sent back - record for me less than 24 hours after a meeting, my new clerk is fab.

DS1 has an interview on Thursday so keeping everything crossed and will need to help him prep later. Glad we got the suit yesterday now.

I need to go food shopping next and take DH's car as it is the only one here, I don't like driving it but needs must.
