Morning all.
Natty- I hope your cat is better this morning.
Jacci- Sorry for your loss. Take some time for yourself to grieve x
FizzWizz- Hope your DS is ok. Think we will have the same in 2 weeks. DD was showing me her wobbly tooth last night and I noticed 1 of the others has actually broken off. It is wobbly so they might leave it to come out on it's own (I hope)
Hugs to anyone else that needs them xx
Ok, we have had no sick since 2 this morning. I'm already on my 4th cup of tea and the kids have only had fluids except dd3 that is bounding round the house like nothings wrong.
I escaped to school his morning to pay the boys trip money, Left DH with the kids, I needed some fresh air. So thats 1 job done. I've also emptied what I can from airers but now the heating isn't on all the time, things are taking longer to dry.
I'm just going to send all the kids up to their rooms so I can make a start on the room, Cant believe how much mess there is when I only did it a few days ago.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Oh goodness, pigpen, surely they will be able to move her. How daft! I was just wondering if any of "ours" were moving up this year. Heard a couple of kids talking about it in the playground earlier.
I'm working today, but had a good start this morning, although DD sneaked in with me in the early hours and I was too groggy to take her back! But it's a rarer occurrence these days. She's much happier in herself with the new meds. Even her nursery lady mentioned she looked much brighter than last week. Her skin is clearer and she's not all quiet and tetchy :T So they have the meds and the form and I just need to *hope* they will remind her to drink it (kept out of reach of the others).
I've got my first paid stuff task done, now starting on No2 - a report for the FCA  I'd better concentrate, lol.
We're pretty tidy here ready for the lunchtime wiping and mopping

That's interesting DD struggled in primary school as she is dyslexic/dyspraxic but it wasn't until 6th form that she was finally formally assessed and it was decided that her own hard won coping strategies were effective and no extra help is required. Her English lit tutor is concerned about Uni for her though.
Has applying for the Disabled Students' Allowance been mentioned? That would fund extra 1:1 tutorials with.....someone like me.....to help her cope with the extra workload by offering new strategies for organisation of assignments, residual difficulties with reading/spelling/written expression. Feel free to pm me if you want to ask anything. At the moment I'm working freelance as an assessor mainly for those hoping to go on for uni, and I do the 1:1 support at our local uni.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Not a bad start to the list:
- 1 load washing done although rain stopped hanging it out
- Some paperwork done
- Cancelled direct debit and phoned to cancel a membership I meant to cancel this time last year
- started cleaning en suite and bedroom
coffee now then hope I can pick up my guag again.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Thank you Mumof2 and charlieyates, he has always been terrified of the dentist so tears are part and parcel but today was horrendous, I think I was crying as much as he was. He said afterwards that he was sorry that he wasn't brave enough to let her pull it out, but it really hurt. That just set me off again
bless him. Referral letter should hopefully be here within 2 weeks. Just sent a text to KH to keep him informed, his response was, "I am not a fan of this modern invasive idea that every child needs a colgate smile." as though I would be putting the poor child through all this trauma just for cosmetic reasons!
I have given the kitchen a cursory clean, swept and mopped the floors and done all of DS2's homework with him. He's catching up with Bugclub online and I'm about to hang the washing on the airer. Once the bathroom floor is dry I'll give the suite a quick blitz. Then vacuum.
Best crack on!0 -
Going to do a HHC now if anyone wants to join me?0

Hugs, sticks and spoons to all who need them - which seems to be just about all of us at the moment!
I'm hoping to be back in for the full week this time. I've been doing little bits here and there when I get the chance, but the house is look decidedly shabby and I really need to get it sorted as mess can definitely be a place for my BD to hide and quietly lurk
Baby Noo is wonderful, she's such a lovely, happy little soul. Having said that, she constantly wants to be held and carried, so any cleaning that can't be done whilst wearing a sling / with a baby attached may well slide!

Thank you ionafan, much appreciated
All jobs done :T And DS2 is much cheerier. Might pootle up to the garden centre for compost and pots, our gardens are communal and looked after by the management firm, but we have a few slabs in front if the French doors where we're allowed to put pots. I have a real black thumband can kill a plant at 100 paces but I have grand ideas about growing cherry tomatoes in containers. We're south facing and I think we'd get a good crop -- I do love a home grown tomato
Off to the outlaws for dinner tonight, so the kitchen *should* remain clean and tidy until tomorrow morning. Shyeah, right :rotfl:0
