I've put Thursdays day up with Wednesday because I won't be around tomorrow to do the list. Not sure what mood I am going to be in because I am sadly taking my darling princess Amycat for her final visit to the vets tomorrow, and to say I will be a wreck is probably an understatement. But I do know I am doing the right thing and she will be with her brother Ollie, who went just under two months ago, and will be reunited with my mother who will look after her at Rainbow Bridge.

Big big hugs Natty you are doing the right thing although it's dreadful to go through. You know we will all be thinking of you.

NO flying today as I went to the ADHD training, which was very good but my brain was totally full and I haven't read all the handouts yet! Anyway it is now another 'service' I can offer in that although the 'diagnosis' is still medical, a trained specialist assessor can now test and report findings recommending further investigation, advice for support and evidence for funding claims. Was meant to go to flower club this evening as my friend was driving, but she had to go out and I was too tired to bother so sat and slobbed over TV.

Would you suggest I just do the list as it stands this week in those two days I have this week? Which will help to bring some semblance of order to the house and I am then hoping I can keep it ticking over till next Wednesday and Thursday.
    Any suggestions welcome.

Well as the world's biggest sloth, I'm hardly one to offer advice but I'm going to anyway! Just do what works for you; every little helps. I still cling to Valli's "don't put it down, put it away" which can save precious minutes. Even if you do 5 minutes each day on the 'room of the day' you will feel you have made progress, and learn what bits are most rewarding to clear. Welcome and good luck.

    Morning all

I slept a bit better last night when I finally got to bed.

Natty the biggest of hugs my lovely, let yourself be sad. We are all with you. Lamewolf will help Amy on her journey and give you both some comfort today.

DS1 tetchy as they keep changing his interview day and time which is causing problems at his current job. So I shall need to keep him realistic today.

    DS2 has his driving test.

Glad I'm starting my walk with my friend, it i beautifully bright and frosty

Well I don't believe it.. I asked for a miracle last night, and I got one.

Last night before I went to bed all of a sudden Amy got up and started demanding food. She ate a whole pouch of food.. Although this could be to her doing one almighty sneeze, it was so violent she ended up falling over backwards and a huge clot of blood came out of her nose.

This morning she was up and demanding her breakfast from Dave, while he was feeding the others. She was out in the kitchen begging and mewing for her breakfast as if nothing had happened. She polished off her bowl of food and then knocked the kitten out of the way and ate what he had left..

She acknowledged me when I went and stroked her, and she has given herself a really good wash. There doesn't seem to be any nasally sounds coming from her or breathing from the mouth. Actually she seems really content. Her breathing seems really normal now, apart from the very loud purring when I stroke her..lol I've given her some food that she has eaten as well, so I think in total she has probably polished off two and half pouches since 11.00 last night.

I am so confused as she was almost comatose all day yesterday, and I really did think her time was up.

So it looks like I will ring her vet up later this morning and have a word with her to see if we can have the longer lasting steroid now as this one has kicked in. She was only given a 4 day one as the vet wasn't sure if it would actually work and didn't want to give a dearer one incase it didn't work. It took longer to get into her system this one, but it looks like it got there. Although if you had seen her yesterday you would have thought it hadn't worked at all. Now let's see if it shrinks the tumour a bit for her..

I'm so glad I listened to my friend and gave it another 24 hours.. Ok it may only give me limited time with her but her quality of life is certainly getting better now.

I am so sorry for worrying everyone..and thank you so much for the support :D I expect some of you feel like you have been going through this with me..lol

Ok folks, I've recently (7 weeks ago ) started work for three days a week and I am drowning. I can't do much beyond getting a wash on and uniform/shirts/ clothes for the next day ironed, lunch boxes made, dinner cooked on workdays. One of the days I do voluntary work a lot of the time which gives me one day to get the house sorted and due to various things I seem to have not even of had that day.

As it stands, this week I have two days in which to sort this !!!! tip of a house so I can then hopefully keep on top of it after that. I intend to do a jobs list for each of the children (3 boys) and they can earn pocket money for doing their jobs.

Would you suggest I just do the list as it stands this week in those two days I have this week? Which will help to bring some semblance of order to the house and I am then hoping I can keep it ticking over till next Wednesday and Thursday. Where I live our weekends are Friday and Saturday but we are usually out and doing things for those days and there is rarely much chance for housework.

    Any suggestions welcome.

I can relate to this. I work 5 mornings a week then have a second job which fills another 6 hours every week. Then I do a bit of voluntary work, do the paperwork for OHs business and do 90% of the cooking, cleaning and domestic stuff. Have more or less given up on the idea of anyone helping me.

I agree that having a 2 day blast to get on top of things is a good idea. But what really works is doing a little every day. I get up half an hour earlier than I really need to just to do a few jobs on a morning. No matter how tired I am on a night I do something - and once you start to get on top of things a lot of jobs dont take as long as you might think.

Over time this approach really makes a difference and then you are on a roll because it just gets easier - and if you have a bad week it doesnt matter too much because you can soon catch up.

Oh and think about decluttering a bit if you need to, the less stuff there is in the way the easier it is. I am still working on this one.

Hugs Natty, lovely to hear the cat has perked up. Need to get breakfast going, warmed up pancakes anyone?
