:hello: guys, I hope everyone has had a good day and enjoyed the hot weather. It certainly makes a change from all the rain.

I had a really good day today. I went to see my Grandad. He moved down to the south coast last week and so I just went to see his new place. He took my parents and I out to lunch which was lovely :)

What has everyone been up to today?

Sending (((HUGS))) to you all xxx

    :hello: RBK,

Glad you had a good day today :) I am fine :) saw my brother as he came home from London yesterday,he had to go back tonight unfortunately as he was going to stay until tomorrow but he had to be called into work for tomorrow morning :) he gave me two snow globes :) one of Paris and the other of Praque which he visited on his travels :) I gave him a very late birthday present today as well of deodrant and some razors :) so hot tonight as well, just wish it would get cooler :)

    Hi guys!:hello:
I hope we're all safe and sound this morning.:A
This is very late for the Tiffster to be posting I know, :o, but good luck to everyone with appointments, tests, assessments, treatment, counselling (good luck sazzy hun!hug.gif), meetings this week and everyone who needs reminding that they are important and worth caring about. grouphug.gif

I was a busy Tiff yesterday - tried a lot of physical jobs and I am paying the price this morning. I guess that's why I'm slow today guys so please bear with me.:o ;)
I felt so rough in different ways that I had arranged for DS to go to stay with his Dad and partner from yesterday afternoon until Wednesday morning. They live in a flat (or a box as DS calls it.:D ) on the other side of town and he hates going there, gets really bored (Dad does shift work) and he can't get away with anything either. ;)

I'd asked him to tidy his [STRIKE]council tip[/STRIKE] - er - bedroom, as I was taking in my mum's bed last night (they were delivering her hospital bed), and I didn't want to feel embarrassed when my brother and friend took it up to the spare room. DS managed this mission by making tidy piles in the corners of his room.  His bed remains unmade but he did a fair job of the room.

I've given myself a hundred things to do while he's away and I've just thought of another one - before he comes back, I'm going to strip his bed, CDs & DVDs & books & games & anything else I can find suitable and spread them around his room!:D ;)
No, I'm not being cruel - I just want him to know what it feels like to leave everything tidy, and then to come back and find that it looks like you've just had a tornado in there! :D A little Tiff reverse psychology! ;)

I am so tired that even though I've been up an hour and half - 7.30ish - (shower, meds, laundry, toast and visiting here), I'm gonna go back to bed I think. I'm usually up by 5a.m. I think the hundred jobs will have to wait until later.;)
To our new family members - think of it as a reprieve!:rotfl: I do care and I will reply as soon as.;)
I hope you all have a great start to the week - thinking of you all guys.hug.gif
    Much Love,
    Tiff zzz :D

Hi Tiff,Good idea to go back to bed,if your son has gone to his Dad's so you can have a break its not going to do you any good if you don't take it easy!Housework will always wait.Make sure you have plenty of "me"time too,sit out in the garden, read a book ect.I know all about messy bedrooms got two boys myself but i have got to the stage where i just shut the door and leave them to it.Have tried the lots of things like putting everything into a bin bag so they have to search for things but nothing worked.Luckily we don't have visitors so i have no need to get embarressed.I am glad we have got some sunshine at last even though it makes work a little harder it does lift my spirits and it will be winter again before we know it.Hope you manage to sleep.Take care x
  • just quik hi to you all to say im here and reading.must go and catch up on my jobs.get carried away on here and nothing gets done.dh off from tom for 2 weeks so prob wont be on much, but will be thinkin of you all.you know what men are like for find jobs that everyone has to "pass me this, fetch me that" even if you are busy doin your own job!!!
tiff....re the sons room.....yes, been there ,got the t-shirt, done the swearing, left looking for more medication(lol) and am still doin it....is 13 and keeps saying hes never leavin home so will never be cured, iykwim.

    love ilgd xx
People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with :)

    Hi andi!:hello:
How are you today hun? ;) I know you must feel like you've been turned inside out recently with DD etc. and I'm really glad you post about it rather than disappear into yourself.:T

Just found you here on page 37 and I thought I'd better reply to your reply to my reply to your post!:D Oh Lord - it's going to be one of those days! :p

    quote=andipandi;
Hi everyone, i think i'm going mad,
    Hey - I got there first!
I'm sure you're not going mad hun.

Hi tiff, thanks for your reply, not sure where you find the time and energy for it all,if my mind wasn't already like swiss cheese it would be after reply in such depth as you do lol.
I meant to help not give you migraines reading my posts angel.;)

no point in seeing gp ,he won't give meds for detox, sleeping(thats why i continue to drink, don't really want to drink but if i detox with out meds my heart rate goes mad ,i sweat like a running tap and have viscous horrid nightmares, last thing i need is no sleep for 4 days and nights,i'll take what sort of alcohol fuelled kip i can )

everyone i have discussed dd with falls in one of 2 camps
    1) cut the chord there is nothing you can do
2)call yourself a father letting your dd go off like that
Depression is coming on strong as i went to bed for 2 hours, didn't ffffin sleep though,
Regardless of our individual situations hun, imho, we all have our own unique brand of torment that we go through when things get rough.
You've done a wonderful job of beating yourself up over situations you couldn't change. And as for people's opinions, they're like the weather hun - they'll change every day.;) It's no wonder you feel the depression coming on and of course, it's a vicious cycle as you know.

Which is why it's important to get help with the way we deal with rough times, as well as help with the causes.;)
I do feel for your situation with the drink and the meds andi. Please keep in touch with your gp angel - it may seem pointless, but they need to see you to monitor and re-evaluate everything. Is it a case of waiting for help with detox andi? There's an answer hun - we just have to find it and your gps input will be vital to that.

Hows your mum and how are you tiff?
Bless you for asking hun. Just as I got back into bed this morning, Mum phoned. She had an insect bite on her hand Saturday and it's gotten infected as well as caused an allergic reaction. She was very low and tearful.
They'd (NHS Supplies) delivered the hospital mattress Sunday afternoon and were going to deliver the bed itself around 6pm. She got it at 11pm!

After the one night, it has to go back - Mum says there's a 2 ft board at the foot of the bed and being tall, she was squashed. Also, the bed seems smaller than a single and the carer who went in this morning said it's not much bigger than a camp bed!

Poor Mum was so upset, in a lot of pain with her hand and is running a temperature too and the gp she spoke to at lunchtime has given her - guess what? - yep, more antibiotics!
My brother's friend won't get his van for personal use until the weekend. I can't leave my mum like that - she'd be sleeping in her recliner for 5 days. So Tiff had a friendly word (NOT!!!) with the district nurse (you don't arrange for a bed that's shorter than the patient with a fixed footboard!) to arrange for the hospital bed to be collected either Thursday or Friday and I'll find and pay for a man with a van type thing to get her bed back to her.

It's a heartbreaking thing to see your mum go from being a rock to a frightened, weak soul, always in a lot of pain and struggling to breathe.:o

must be time for tiff to have some me time and vent or do you do meditation and yoga?
edit , i used to do yoga everyday, hopefully after August(my month of birth )i can get back to it along with reading my books /quote

    I'm fine hun thanks.;)
Yoga? Do I look like I do yoga? :D

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I have heard how good yoga and T'ai Chi (still a martial art form), can be for relaxation.
Don't worry hun - Tiffy's ok- they've not caught me yet!;)
I'm hoping you're feeling better andi and that you're getting some sleep. Be kind to yourself hun.hug.gif
