sobbingsmile.gifsometimes when i get a down day i feel like this

and sometimes when i get a good day i feel like this :j

but most days i feel like this

    why is depression so complicated

when every day i just want to feel like this :rotfl:

and when people say just pull yourself together don t you find it makes you feel like this

then you want to eat :EasterBun

which makes you feel happy :j for a while

    and then sobbingsmile.gifagain

:hello: to everyone who suffers with depression like me if only everyone could understand its not something you want its something that you dont want it just choses its victims and creeps up on you when you least expect it i have suffered for 4 years after having a nervous breakdown and am still struggling with energy levels and anxiety i know i am better than i was but frustrated that this thing is like having an invisible disability which is so frustrating to have when people who have not had it think you can just snap your fingers and be better again cos that sought of attitude just makes me feel sobbingsmile.gif
    again
The average woman would rather have beauty than brains,
because the average man can see better than he can think.

Many people's view of the world is down to their experience, perception and what they have been conditioned to,this isnt any old MSE reply this is a important and experienced MSE reply :rotfl:

    Hi Guys

I've been lurking since the new thread started and wondered if I could join you please?

I been feeling depressed for a few months now and was hoping it would go, but I gave in today and made a doctors appointment. Bit nervous about it, but fed up feeling like this and hoping its the first step to feeling better.

looking forward to getting to know you all

Hi carpy, yeah theres been some weird !!!!!! happening on the thread,
mods locked down previous thread and if you look at post rules for this one seems like it would be differcult to have a chat about anything to deep
Thats why alot of people are starting to use the other place (see my profile :D)
Never do things tomorow when you can do them today.

hey all... was breifly on the other thread, but been away for a few days. What happened? Why'd it close?

Anyway... still haven't made an appointment to see the doctor yet.
    I'm really scared.
I've been having the following things happen and wonder if I should tell the doctor:

    crying for no reason
not being able to stop laughing... until I cry (not in a good way)
    tired
    snappy
    agressive (thrown things a lot)
self harm (in the past but not for a little while)
    argumentative
seeing the bad in EVERYONE (not like me)
    jealous
    possessive
don't want to go anywhere / no enthusiasm.

I just worry that I'll go to the doctor and either just cry or reel all of this off, showing no emotion.

Thanks for the warm welcome yesterday

Little pickle i'm off to the doctors tomorrow hun, not looking forward to it either, but i've put up with if for a while now so know I need to go, it did feel a relief in a way. Why not ring them today?

I'm feeling better today, the deprssion lifted last night and I suddenly felt myself again and a heavy weight had been lifted, quite odd, I was nervous waking up this morning in case it was back, but so far so good. Still going to the doctors tomorrow though, it sounds mad, but I can't remember if its lifted before other than yesterday morning when it went for about half an hour and came back.... Is this normal?

    Hi Little Pickle,

I would suggest you go to your GP explain whats been happening, they wont judge you or anything and they are there to help you anyway :)
