Thanks for the warm welcome yesterday

Little pickle i'm off to the doctors tomorrow hun, not looking forward to it either, but i've put up with if for a while now so know I need to go, it did feel a relief in a way. Why not ring them today?

I'm feeling better today, the deprssion lifted last night and I suddenly felt myself again and a heavy weight had been lifted, quite odd, I was nervous waking up this morning in case it was back, but so far so good. Still going to the doctors tomorrow though, it sounds mad, but I can't remember if its lifted before other than yesterday morning when it went for about half an hour and came back.... Is this normal?

    Hey Zippy,

Glad to hear you are better today :)

I went to my doctor after suffering for years - feeling suicidal, tired, working in jobs until burnout occurred (called running away, I think), two failed marraiges where both husbands were sectioned. Although I didn't agree with antidepressants I now take them and work with a counsellor. I find the combination helpful. I did have to be assessed and wait about 6 months for the counselling.

I know that in my case it won't go away but I feel better knowing I'm not alone and support is there.

you can use other agencies to access one, for instance i was referred
by community alcohol team in 2002 and i still see the same phycologist now,
doc will refer you but if you want one to one there is usually a waiting list,in my area its about a years wait, my sister waited 2 1/2 yrs for cbt down her way,
if you do group work around here takes 3 months but peeps normally find group work to exhausting esp as group work will be 10 to 12 people plus 2 professionals,

welcome to the thread Skintas, good on you for going out in the mornings,I have just been on a walk a minute ago and it did me the world of good, normally I am off to a club but today I dont feel like it and my parents are coming to see me this afternoon so will go again next week :)

My Pyscologist appointment went well at 11am today. She didnt go until 12.30pm ish so had a good hour and a half session. It was really draining but I said all I wanted to say and she gave me some advice on it.I was really upset during the session and even when she had gone so I just took to my bed in my bedroom and cried alot until I fell asleep as thats what I do to make me feel better in myself for the rest of the day :) I will await your good news tomorrow afternoon :)

    :hello: guys,

I really miss posting on here. I've read most of the posts on this new thread. A big WELCOME to all the new posters.

I'm still in hospital. I have a CPA/review tomorrow morning with my social worker, psychiatrist e.t.c

It's not too bad in hospital. I think it is helping. I don't feel like overdosing atm which is good :) although I have still self-harmed :( I'm working on other coping methods though.

WELCOME back flis I'm glad to hear that you had a good holiday but sorry to hear about everything else that has happened while you've been away. You've definately been through a lot (((HUGS))) Lets hope the antibiotics work and that you start to feel better soon. Glad that the baby is OK. Make sure you get lots of rest :) xxx
