Depression Support Thread

hi guys :hello:

Saw the consultant today, he's ordered a rake of tests and my surgery date to have my innards rearranged will be in 4 weeks time. I'm a bit nervous, specially when he talked about the risks but there are so many positives and this surgeon is reputedly the best in the country in his field, he teaches other surgeons how to do it :eek: I'm most looking forward to finally being healthy afterwards and having my energy back and not being in pain etc..

lol, well a week in bed will be a nice break I'm not sure if I'll tell the kids or not cos they'll get scared.. I might say it's a field trip for uni or sommat.. I dunno

It's tricky isn't it, because kids tend to pick up on when you're worried or concerned about something? Could say you're going in for tests perhaps? Maybe see how you feel nearer the time...
