(((hugs))) meyore, i hate dentists too, had to have a filling myself earlier this week. lot of money for dental treatment, didnt realise it costs so much, i get mine free, with not working.

hope everyone is ok today, i'm feeling bit better than yesterday, saw my counsellor this morning, which i found very useful, she congratulated me on doing well at not drinking, have managed ten days now without any alcohol. have improved my diet a bit, and have also started doing a bit more exercise, not much, just small steps, like walkin the five mins to my mums now and again instead of getting car out. starting a dance class next weds, which my counsellor is coming with me for the first one, so i dont have to go alone, and also next thurs when i have my next appointment with her, she is going to go thru some coping strategies, to help me deal with stress and depression, better, especially how to deal with ex lol
    big hugs everyone

I'm sure chelsea fans are a bit happier today.

    - well, they would be if they didn't have a fuzzy head today:rolleyes::D however comma entirely self-inflicted so please no sympathy! But a Chelsea - Tottenham final; couldn't make it up really.

Anyway. I'm having trouble thinking in a straight line at the moment... "nuthin' new there sazzy!", you say to yourselves! :rotfl: Catch you guys laters.

    Kisses,

It costs lots because its a private dentist-you can't get a NHS on for love nor money down here!

Your counsellor sounds really nice coming to classes and stuff with you. Glad you're doing well with the not drinking and healthy eating.

Hey Guys.....bit maudlin today I'm afraid...heard a friend from 'way-back-when' lost her fight with the Big C yesterday :o & it has caused me to look at my own mortality once more.

I'm supposed to be losing weight & taking more exercise, but when things like this happens....makes you wonder if there's any point. Why not just live Life to the full & bu88er the consequence:confused: I don't think I'm scared of the Final Sleep....but not so sure I could leave the offspring with a tangled web of debt & misery cuz I didn't take responsibility for making sure I stayed around for the longest time possible.

    Now my head hurts......

I'm really sorry to hear about your friend, bmf. I know what you mean - these situations do cause us to take stock; and it made me remember something. When my best friend's sister died of cancer a couple of years ago, in her early forties, my friend (who like me suffers from depression) felt that it should have been her instead of her sister, because she felt she had nothing to live for, but her sister did. It was heartbreaking for me to hear my friend talk like that. I felt there was nothing I could say to make her see otherwise. She could see no point in going on. But a year on she met the love of her life, they got married this year and moved to Portugal to start a new life together. She is blissfully happy. Something which she would never have envisaged in the sad aftermath of her sister's passing.

Anyway. I am the very last person to tell anyone to live life to the full, because I don't do it myself. But I guess what I'm trying to say is, maybe we need to do a bit of both? Try and grab those chinks of light that life occasionally throws us, and do what we can with them? And in the process do whatever we can for loved ones around us, when we can. If that makes any sense. In other words, give the love AND bu88er the consequences!:)

    Take care bmf.
