SF, sorry that you are finding things hard. What Badger said earlier was so true. Wish you could see you how I see you.
I often wonder what I must seem/look like to other people, it must be strange. but thanks (hugs)
One thing happened today that made me realise that I'm getting better. I put a photograph of me & OH up. Me. On the wall. Normally I can't stand to look at myself, but I found a photo that looks okay, and I've put it up. Change is slow, but it does happen.
    That's great :j a big step forward I think :)
I admire your honesty with SH. Things are 'good' for me at the moment, and I don't have the obsession to cut. I'm not stressed or low, but I still get thoughts coming in to my head. Hopefully they'll go eventually. I managed a couple of years cut free once, I'm looking forward to getting back to something like that, after my bad relapses last year.
You mentioned honesty, which is strange as no one in the "real" world knows about it, but I feel I can tak about it on here without anyone judging me. I can't wait for the day that I no longer feel the need to, and its nice to see other people have managed to survive it.
I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, but do you SH more when drinking?

I don't really drink that much, so no I dont, its normally after I've eaten something....
How are you today anyway? hope you're alright. xx

slowlyfading When we self-harm I know it releases various hormones that make us feel better. Perhaps you've become so used to the 'good' feeling that self-harming provides that you find it hard to break the cycle.
I think it is a cycle, and I dont' know what it should produce a good feeling, but it does! strange, really.
It isn't stupid or pathetic (((HUGS))) I'm similar in that I like seeing the blood run from the cuts. Most people find that slightly weird but oh well. It's just a shame we (me included) damage our bodies and are left with permanant scars.
I know, I have so many scars now its horrible :( but i just can't seem to stop...
    I am OK. Struggling on...

I read about your manager - its not a nice thing to ask in front of everyone, i mean what are you meant to say? if I were you i'd say to her ' i dont like it when you ask me personal questions in front of everyone, if you've got something to ask me, get me by myself' . I hate being put on the spot. (hugs) take care, sweetie. xx

    :hello: everyone.
I'm having an okay day. Got up at 7am to get to the uni library at 8:45am when it opened so i could get some more books out. Am now sat at my desk in my room surrounded by them, trying to figure out what the hell to write. My seminar is at 2PM and I have 1,365 words so I'm going to aim to do about another 1,000 and then hopefully that'll be okay. I just don't want him to be nasty or shout, I can't take it today :( and he's made me cry before :o so, yeah, am dreading that.
Hope everyone is okay, ((HUGS)) to those who want/need one.
    sf xx

SF I'm alright today, I've got a nice big burn to go with my bad neck! I was cooking, and moved akwardly, which made me jump because of my bad neck, and the back of my hand touched the inside of the oven. Kept it cold all evening, and its a bit better today - very red and sore though. And my burn from Christmas day has only just healed! Good excuse to not do any cooking tonight though! What are your plans for the day? I'm going to snuggle up on the sofa and watch some ER DVD's.

Juno - sorry that things are hard with your Ex. Its bad the power some people have over our feelings. Is there anything you can do to prevent something like this happening again? Hope you have a better day today.

RBK - Your manager sounds like she managed to say all the wrong things! I can see where she is coming from, do you think she just wants to help and has no idea how to? Hope this doesn't affect how you feel at work. I'm still in quite a bit of pain. Taking painkillers which takes the edge of it. I asked the Pharmacist about taking something stronger, but she recommended with my history of substance abuse that I should just put up with the pain. It is better today than it was yesterday, so thats a good thing.

Hope everyone has a good day today. Hugs to those that need them.

Oh, which series of ER? I love it :) When I'm earning some of my own money, the first things I'm going to buy are all the series on DVD! lol :) Not seen it in a while though, is it still on the tv?
I hope your neck feels better, and oh no about the burn! That must really hurt :( I hate burns, they sting for hours - I have one from the grill last week and boy, did I swear like a trooper when I did that  hope it's not too painful, and yes, a great excuse to get out of cooking ;)
I've got my dissertation seminar at 2PM for 2 hours, and then I'm going to come home, do some reading for a bit, and then RELAX with a dvd and some nice soup and bread i think :) I've been so stressed all week, it'll be nice when its finally the weekend.
    Take care xx

    I'm feeling fed up today.

I feel old, the weather is sh*te, we got the boring paperwork about our eviction, boring tax return, things are going wrong between us, our son is a drifter - I feel so bored and irritated by everything.

Why can't things just leave us alone?
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

I've almost finished watching season 8 on DVD, will start on season 9 this afternoon. I've got 1-9 on DVD, buy 10 at the end of the month when its released. I stopped watching it on TV during season 10, so I won't have seen it all before which is good! I think they are showing season 14 on TV now. I love ER. I really like medical dramas, I've seen every episode of House, Greys Anatomy and Private Practice too.

Enjoy your soup and DVD, that sounds like a lovely afternoon.

Well I had the CPN round today and the good news is I don't have mental health issue any more as far as she is concerned it is just the reminants of long time anxiety to cope with now. LOL - I want a certificate to say I'm sane ;)
