.................................Man flu
A rare strain of flu so powerful and so deadly it can only be matched by the Bubonic Plague and Aids. A incurable virus which has adapted to only effect the "XY" gene found in men.
The virus attacks the immune system 10,000 times harder than the average flu virus, causing excruciating pain for the victim. Man Flu has no cure and prayers can save the forsaken life of the infected. The often deadly virus is mostly laughed at by women who sadly cannot contract "Man Flu"
Woman: Is he ok?
Doctor: I'm afraid not, I'm sad to say he has Man Flu

The condition shared by all males wherein a common illness (usually a mild cold) is presented by the patient as life-threatening.
This is also known as 'Fishing for Sympathy' or 'Chronic Exaggeration'.
When the patient is your boyfriend, he will exhibit the standard symptoms (such as an overwhelming desire for compassion) while simultaneously rejecting any and all efforts you make to placate him.
You: Awww, you poor fella.
Him: I'm DYING!
You: (Soothingly) Oh, you're not dying Cy.
Him: (Indignant) I AM! I have Man Flu!
You: Do you need some sympathy?
Him: Yes! But no one understands my pain...

Him: NO YOU DO NOT!!!

Hi RBK, how are you today? x0

Happy Birthday to ilgd, hope you are ok RBK and hope everyone else is too.
Just thought I would update on the work trial start - I was up at 5am and at the station at 6.30am (half an hour early) got the train to birmingham, walked across to Moor Street and got on train to London. It was at the other end that the problems started - got taken to a cramped room at Islington Town Hall - with kids screaming and running about the place (must have been difficult for those who are deaf but have no need of sign language). Didnt get into London until 10.30 and not once were we offered any refreshments when we arrived, after listening to a load of waffle, we adjourned for a working lunch in a local restaurant - boy was it cramped, we had to climb over each other just to sit at the table. Food was wierd and again no refreshments offered - the restaurant tried to charge us £1.50 for a glass of London Tap Water!!! After lunch it was back to the Town Hall for yet more waffle - so much so that we had to then faff about having our ID cards done and thus we missed our train. Eventually got home at 7.30pm. Seems now that I have to travel into the city centre on Wednesday to work in a temporary office because the offices they were going to move to just down the road from me has fallen through because they don't like the way folks do business up here - then next week I may well be somewhere else local. Its a right pigs ear to be honest. Company sounds good but and it is a big but...do I want to work for someone who is so unprofessional? Watch this space and I'll let you know.

I typed letters today! And then I printed them and prepared them for posting (with leaflets etc as necessary). It sounds boring but it wasn't really. And a lot of the advice on here is "go to the CAB!" so it was nice thinking that I was possibly helping someone on here even though I'll never know. I helped loads of people today (well, hopefully!) even though I'll never get to meet them.
And I learnt how to use a photocopier! I only broke it 3 times. I can now do double sided photocopies, and copy several pages at a time. Next time, I'm going to try and get it to staple them. I'm going again next Monday :-)
And I came home and found my calendar had arrived! The postman had left it outside my front door, and it was raining so I was worried it would be wet, but it isn't. So I now have pictures on Jon Bon Jovi to look atI can't wait til July!
