Anger now dissipated - it was taken out on the Christmas Tree which is now residing quietly in a huge bag in the corner of the room. It took an age to take the bloomin' lights off it and in desperation took the tree apart instead. OH even called me today apologising for being a complete nitwit and offering me some support instead of whinging all the time. Don't think he appreciated it when I told him there was no snow in Italy and he is skiing there next week.

I have been given a voucher for £3 off at Mankind - so thats some free money for me. Need to go out and buy food but can't be bothered so will have to go out tomorrow. Nothing out of freezer either so I guess its soup and toast for me tonight or maybe a crisp sandwich. I still have some chocolate coins to eat from Christmas plus some satsumas and mincepies.

Bananas and custard sounds fab - tinned custard is yummy so now I shall be hunting in my cupboard to see if I have any, might only have rice or semolina though. Am wondering if I am pregnant because I have been having a hankering lately for semolina - can't understand why as I hated it at school (crosses fingers as don't want any kids). Spent day chatting to my mate on email, she is babysitting her nephew and I don't think she is enjoying it.

    Love to all.

dhs been to his uncles funeral ths morn...hes last of his direct line, iykwim...well apart from ds.think its made him alittle more aware of his own mortality and his age, and worried cos all his dads family have passed young in their 50s......and hes 48 this year....so its getting him abit uncomfy.
am abit maudlin re stuff like that.i think that our time to go is decided when we are born but thats my op on life and as i say to juno, each to your own.think its more painful for those left behind, cos you cant easily get back to tell them all how wonderful it is over there, where ever you believe over there is, iykwim.think its more important to celebrate their life than to rem how much pain they had.
hope i havent offended anyone as i didnt mean to.
    take care all,
    love ilgd xx

    :hello: Everyone,

I had a good time at my parents :) had the lovely dinner then Bananas and custard, lovely devonshire custard from a tin to save mum making some Birds instant :) I then went home and I had a drink of Babycham my last little bottle and I enjoyed it,then I got rid of some rubbish from my kitchen bin and went for a little walk along the seafront,It was bitterly cold and the cold stung my cheeks,I then went to Boots and I did some shopping and got a few things from my sisters gift card and my friends gift card so got some buy 1 get 1 free's which was good as I saved money.Hope you will be ok Horace its understandable to be angry at the moment. *hugs* I had a sleep for an hour or so as I felt sleepy then woke up and did some ironing and now having a decaff coffee and on here :)

    love and light,

I have the most amazing eyebrows ever!

I had my hair cut, and then my eyebrows waxed. Never done that before, but they were annoying me for some reason. Didn't hurt as much as I expected it to, either.

And I did a lot of shopping, and bought far too much stuff. I spent £16 on shampoo

My flu last a good 2-3 weeks and I've been left feeling wrung out. So has my mum and she has the immune system of an ox usually!
  • I'm feeling a bit fed up today, I posted in here about a month ago as I'd waited ages to see a counselor, then the very next week my first appointment came through and I got to see somebody.
The first appointment was good we went briefly over my difficult upbringing and my problems, The counselor said she could relate to some of it as she knew someone in a similar situation and she even shed a few tears at one point (much to my surprise) I told her I didn't really think the 6 sessions provided would really be enough for me and she agreed but theres nothing we can do about it so we'll try and get somewhere with whatever time we have.
Second session went well too and I have been thinking a lot about it and looking forward to the next session, then I got a call this morning saying it has been canceled as she is 'not available anymore' and they would write to me, It seems like I will now get a new counselor for whatever reason, so we'll have to start from the beginning and probably have fewer sessions with the new person. I really don't want to re tell my crappy life story to another person, I guess I have no choice if I want to get it all sorted ... Like I say just feeling fed up today ... moan over.

Cat Saver - I appreciate where you are coming from.

January 2007 I went into a bout of depression and was put on the list for the surgery counsellour/cbt therapist and told there was a 2 week wait at least. The appointment came...last week. Yep, that's right almost 12months to the day of the original request. My poor GP is tearing her hair out. She pushed me through to a nother section who sent a CPN out who was very nice but not sure what they could do for me (before Xmas I was particularly 'up'). She said she would see me again, now on the brink of a down - can't get hold of her for appointment no2

On the whole I've got myself back up on my own and with my mothers support (ten years +) so will carry on but when you are nervous/shy/embarrased of getting professional help it would help if it went smother.

Anyone have any top tips for managing repeatative negative thought patters??
