I agree with Antronella - you sound like a really nice guy who has been "sidelined" by someone quite deliberately.

I would bet money that in a year's time you could be on here talking about the good job you have eventually and the new friends that you have made. Just give it time and be good to yourself.

This may sound silly but have you thought of taking salsa lessons - at least you would be in some contact with people and men are in short supply there!

    You could be fought over!!!!

    Stepb

Sorry to be a bit blunt but alarm bells are screamng at the statement that he loves you but wants a break for a month!!!

If he loved you he would be at the door pleading for a second chance!

He just sounds as if he wants to be "free" to meet other women at parties over Christmas and the New Year.

You deserve better than to feel that you "will do till someone better turns up!"

Big hug to you both and to anyone else who could do with one!

    Hi All,

sorry I don't get much time to pop in :(

Hope everyone feels better soon. :)

Remember there is always hope and there is a light at the end of the tunnel but sometimes some ***** steals the bulb.

Merry Christmas to you all and best wishes for 2008.

I know Christmas / New Year can be a difficult time for us depressives - too much pressure to be happy etc. There are many people here and there are also the Samaritans if you need help. There is always someone to turn to.

All is well in the world of Blinky. Not engaged yet but probably in 2008.... so keep the hat fund going.

    Love

I'm not depressed, just very, very sad.

I am not stalking you Mr G, ;) I often read this thread, as have been suffering mild depression this past year due to not working for a few months then my mum passing...but just wanted you to know that we all love you in The Arms, there is a thread in there called Say a Nice Thing about another MSE'r, go read it. :)

I am so sorry you feel sad. You always make me laugh and for you to be able to do that, with everything that has happened to you, well that makes you a special person. I really hope 2008 is a lot better for you. :kisses3:

Hi Peeps...forgive me if I'm repeating myself, but BIL is now home:T I've not been sleeping too well--don't know why, but it's the way things go sometimes aint it.

Yes Miro a dram is a scottish term used primarily for whiskey. I'm not anti-alcohol but usually prefer a soft drink 99.9% of the time.....today I treated myself to some nice cranberry juice that Mr T has kindly put on bogof:p

Oh Tulip---you go careful with all that turkey & crissy parties......
You'll get tinsel-itis:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I do envy you with all that delicious clotted cream...mmmmmmmm

Can't stay just now; I'm off to santa's packing shed for [hopefully] the last time this year!
So I'll wish you all a cosy evening & Peaceful Minds folks. BMFx
