SF happy birthday girlie....sorry, womanie xxx

    21 eh?
You can now legally own a camel or drive a traction engine. I remember the day I became legal to do those things, there was no stopping me.
    Enjoy
Girls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.

I would rather drown with you than watch the surf with someone else

I could do with taking up a hobby, any ideas what i could do.
I do exercise classes-tae bo tonight, but there is a different one each night. When I can be bothered I do loads, and they really do make you feel better. I used to hate exercise, I just couldn't see the point, but one day I was near enough dragged in, kicking and screaming! I haven't looked back I'm pretty sure exercise is addictive!

The tae bo teacher is hilarious too, which helps-shes there shouting things like "this ones for all the mars bars" and "this ones for the pasties" etc. :rotfl: Having a decent teacher does help. I did 2 hours tonight, so I'm going to be sore tomorrow :D

My mum is really down today and I hate it when shes like this as there is nothing I can do to make her any better. Shes suffered with depression for over 16 years, coping to varying degrees, as with any of us. This is when she caught chicken pox from me and my brother, developed complications and pneumonia and nearly died. This is when it all started for her, she says she aged about 10 years over night and that can't be pleasant.

Yet she gets next to no help from her GP but I'm guessing this is because she puts on a happy face for him. Shes had counselling in the past, but says it was useless. She is on quite powerful antidepressants, which although she can't cope without, don't seem to do much good.

We were meant to go Christmas shopping today, but as with everytime we've tried recently she couldn't cope. Christmas is getting nearer, she hasn't done a thing for it and I know this is going to become an issue with her feeling guilty. I'll do what I can, but she gets all harassed whenever I mention it.

Today is the 6 year anniversery since her father died, but no one has mentioned it, so I don't want to bring it up, but it might be causing her issues. He died alone in a home and I know she feels guilty for it. Or she may not be thinking of it at all, but if I bring it up she will be then.

I wish I could help her, but I just feel like I'm bullying her into doing things she doesn't want to do. I know depression is hard and I want her to be happy, but I just don't know how to help. She says theres nothing to look forward to anymore, but she doesn't want to make plans so there would be something. Tonight she has finally decided to finish it with someone who has been using her and making her very unhappy, but is convinced she won't find anything better.

I can't make myself feel better at times like this, so how can I help her? Sorry for the long post, I just needed to get it out
    Xx

Sorry to butt in guys...hope you don't mind too much that I haven't been around.

Although the offsprings' dad walked out many moons ago, I've kept in touch with his family---it's not their fault he's a completeI]enter word or phrase[/I & they are still half of the offsprings' heritage.
Anyhow, one of the bil has had tests this week, & I've just been told--literally minutes ago--that he has the Big C. He has to see a specialist next week, but it's not looking too hopeful, & he's not reached mid fifties yet!

I am so angry that this could happen to such a loving, generous, warm person who goes out of his way to make complete strangers feel at ease. He's the sort of bloke I'd wished I had married.........& there's all those toss pots roaming around getting the Life of Riley......like that twazzuck who faked his own death.

There truly is no justice in the heavens or earth, for this to happen to such a gentle soul...........I know there's a chance it can be sorted, but it's not right that it should happen in the first place.....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggghh

Sorry guys, had to tell someone else first, so I can be the positive voice when I tell the offspring. Thanks for being here.

    Peaceful Minds folks. BMFx

I think I've caught up, but please don't expect me to remember who said what----that's impossible on a 'normal' day:p

There seems to be a lot of talk about bags....me muvva is after a new 'everyday' handbag, but she's so fussy----too big; too small; wrong colour; handles too long:mad: Then a week ago she decides that I need a new bag too, & I've to choose & she will get it for christmas. But because I hadn't thought about it, I've no idea what sort of bag I'd like & she's getting  with me:rotfl: :rotfl: It's a barrel-load of fun round here:D

We were in A Shop Does All Tulip when she sprung it on me, & I thought that I could have done with your help :p to show us around! They do have some good bargains don't they! I have to stock up because we can't get there too often, but they might be building one in the next town soon-:cheesy: -I do hope so!

I'm glad that your folk are on the mend QWB & Ethel but aint Life a bee-aitch & nothing like on the telly:o It amazes me how they get things done so quickly in Letherbridge where the quacks at The Mill Surgery can just make a phone call & their patients see a consultant in a matter of hours! But I still watch Doctors when I can:whistle:

Well, me knees are saying rain is imminent. Yep  its definately a R knee warning. The trouble is once it has started raining, me knees stop aching  so any further forecasts are down to your own judgement. Sorry bout that, but as Popeye sez "I can only do so much, & I cants do no more".

Have a safe & warm day, & Peaceful Minds folks. BMFx

    Hiya H :)

I've been thinking the same thing, I am getting so bored being at home all day with nothing to do but i'm not very good at anything tbh. What type of things do you like to do? Painting, writing, gardening (although prob not the weather ) fitness, computer stuff?

I've just bought a paint by numbers watercolour thing off ebay, I don't think it's for kids because the paintings quite complicated but it looks easy enough. I'm going to see how I like doing that, i'll be naff no doubt, I haven't a creative bone in my body :rotfl:

I Love walking with my dog, at the moment i have been walking around with dog in the evening and looking at the christmas lights on the house. I do like gardening, cleaning. I used to do alot of drawing but havent done that for quite a while so i could try that again. You could try and do your paint by numbers, could be fun.

I was reading through a prospectus last night, and there's only one course in the whole thing that's at a time I can do, in a venue I can do at a cost I can afford...and it's the one I really want to do! So I decided it's fate, and signed up for it today :) I'm really excited
