Think I need to get some sleep & a little perspective here. The othe poster has let me know that I definitely didn't offend them, and it's all OK now.

I just didn't want to be one of those people that others don't want posting cos they're offensive / insulting, when I'm just trying to have a bit of fun.

But it seems that I'm not. So I'll go to sleep now.

    night night all.

    Hi guys!

Sorry for being such a rubbish sazzy:o - I mean, for not being around much.
    You are not a rubbish sazzy - you're the only one we've got!:D ;)

During the week gets a bit crazy, y'know. I feel so guilty for not being able to devote a decent amount of time replying to you all properly, so then I get to thinking it's somehow fairer if I don't reply at all..... :o But I do read everything that's posted and I do think of each and every one of you... I promise you that.
You have more than paid your dues to the thread angel. It's quality, not quantity hun.;) Anyone who knows you is aware of how hard you work, the long hours and the charity run you do on top of that. We all know you think of us hun.:A

Anyway, it's nearly the weekend! Yay! :j  Hope you've all got some nice things planned. I've got a quiet couple of days ahead, so will try and post at some stage.

    Morning Tiff,

How are you today? Up to anything exciting at the weekend?

I actually managed to get some sleep last night, so feel a bit better today. Am going to see Harry Potter this afternoon (have had tickets booked for 2 weeks, am really excited!), then got a BBQ at my sister in laws tonight, so hopefully will be a good day.

Am doing quite well not thinking about work problems, every time I start dwelling on it I find myself something to do or start reading my book. Can't dwell and read at the same time!!

    Have a great day everyone.

    Hi ilgd!:hello:
    How are you angel?
Sorry it's been a few pages to get back to you, but I hadn't forgotten you hun.;)

    quote=ilovegreatdanes;
tiff....the med was for incap ben and completely went to pieces...which i dont know if was good or bad at the time.felt sorry for the dr as he prob saw me at my best or worse , depending how you look at it...and after 15 mins, sent me home.looked at me as if he thought "that womans not fit to be let out in public!!"
Am I the only one who thinks that it was so wrong to keep someone poorly and anxious with mental ill health, waiting over an hour?

With regards to the Incapacity Benefit hun, I'd have thought it would have helped because he'd have seen your genuine distress. I believe if there are good enough reasons angel, that you could have had your medical at home. Not too sure on that one - will have to go down into the Tiffy archives.;)
Have you though about claiming DLA angel?

i know it sounds as if im making light of the whole thing but my coping mechanism is humour and always know somethings wrong when it deserts me, so hope you understand if im over jolly sometimes in my posts.im either really happy or very low with no inbetween.
enough boring essay....take care everyone.sending hugs and positive thoughts to you all. :A
    kind regards, ilgd xx/quote
I know hun.hug.gif Humour can be a good coping mechanism imho and you're not the only one it works for. I guess that relates to the phrase ''I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.''
If it works for you hun, that's great.:T
It doesn't matter how we cope as long as we can try something.;)

And no more from you about boring essays ok hun?! There's still enough room in sazzy's rubbish bin for one more you know!tapping.gif:rotfl: ;)

Ignore the cruel words of others angel though it's hard. You've only got to come here and you'll find a world of support sweetheart!:T Thinking of you hun.hug.gif

    Morning flissy!:hello:
    You're late!:D
I'm all right hun, I'm always all right thank you.;)
You sound in fine fettle this morning hun.;) Glad you got some sleep - I do worry about you all y'know.

    You're getting the idea hun.:j
Distraction is a great way to get rid of those depression gremlins. As I say - you can't be stressed and relaxed at the same time!;)

It sound like you've a really nice day planned hun. You deserve a treat.:A

Me? Well, DS has just left the house for his first formal piano lesson (he's been teaching himself kinda when he's had time between college work). It's at 8.10a.m. - rather her than me - I can see it all now...

Actually, I'm thinking of going into town. I need to buy my mum a microwave because she's so poorly that unless I get her food or my siblings do, then she won't get to eat.
At least with a microwave, she can manage to heat some soup or something if she gets desperate bless her. She's not keen on microwaves either.:o It's a long story that I'll bore you with another time.;)

Now get out there girl, treat yourself and have some fun!

I know this sounds a bit pathetic, but it's really upset me tonight. (I have had a few drinks, which might be affecting how I feel).

I just posted on another thread and unintentionally upset another poster (or so I thought). It turns out they didn't take my post the wrong way (as I'd thought they had), but now I'm feeling tearful and vulnerable. As if I can never say the right thing.

I was only trying to make a joke and it seemed from their reply that they'd taken it the wrong way (they hadn't, as it turns out). I apologised, and they said it was funny, and that I'd embarrassed myself.

Now I feel really stupid. And I'd been having such a good week up til now.

Why do such little things knock me sideways again?

    xx

    Hi happy!:hello:
I hope you're feeling better this morning angel.
Don't get upset hun - we've all been there.;)
That's the trouble with internet communications: we meet people from everywhere and you can't read intentions on a computer screen! It's worse when we're tired and stressed.
At least it's sorted out hun so no more worrying about it ok? You say you've had a good week (:T ) so you must have been busy. This is usually when the smallest things upset us. You're being perfectly normal in an abnormal world sweetheart! ;)
Just concentrate on the good week you had and make sure you get some rest. Take care hun. hug.gif

Thanks for sharing your opinion with us hun.:T You're very welcome here.;)

Depression is a very cruel illness, I agree gibby.
I guess it's a matter of personal opinion and experience as to what treatment is best for someone. I'm all for trying helpful suggestions - like relaxation, meditation, positive thinking, yoga, etc. but I think it's always best to get a professionals advice.

The professionals would prefer not to give meds unless they have to. However, we have to remember that there are different kinds of depression and different kinds of meds which work in different ways for different people.

We must also consider psychiatrists and psychlogists and cpns and counsellors, all of whom do want to try to resolve the root causes. But sometimes there isn't an obvious root cause. They always try to help the person with the least possible medication hun, imho.

What works for one won't necessarily work for another.;) We're all different.
I'm glad you've had a positive experience gibby, but we can't make blanket statements about all professionals and their treatments in all cases.
After all, they're called professionals for a reason.;)
And hun, isn't the person you recommend also a medical professional?
Thanks angel for your thoughts and information.hug.gif

Came off medication too soon. I was on citaloprom for 18 months due to stress/depression. Started feeling a bit better in February so came off them. Haven't see the doctor since. This week everything has come flooding back. It is worse than ever. Can't sleep. Crying. Nerves are shot to bits. My OH was so concerned for me on Thursday night. I haven't eaten for 3 days. I feel so sorry for her.

I found some old tablets (still in date) took them Thursday and Friday. I think I was close to doing something 'silly'. I was/am even thinking of having myself sectioned. I can't cope. I know a friend of mine who had a nervous breakdown admitted herself. Has anybody on here ever felt this bad?

    Stebiz

    welcome.gif stebiz!
Firstly - well done for posting hun.
Next, get rid of those tablets now hun - straight down the toilet ok angel? It's too much of a temptation.

You're not alone stebiz. Many people here have felt like that. You're obviously very low. hug.gif
    Ideas...

If your dr has a Saturday a.m. emergency appointment, go there.

If not go to your local A&E and tell them what you're feeling hun.

Also, you can phone the local mental health crisis team hun. You should be able to get there number if you don't know it from your local mental health unit or from A&E.

Don't wait to hurt yourself before you go to A&E or a dr hun - they'd much rather see you before than after!;) You will not be wasting their time either. Every A&E has an on-call psychatrist.

In addition, there's an NHSDirect phone number for people in mental distress - it's 0845 4757. Seems short but that's what's quoted.

Please do the above now sweetheart for both your sakes. Yes you can put yourself in to voluntary section, or so could your OH if she's very worried about you. The main thing is that you get help today hun.hug.gif
We won't go over the whys and wherefores about med and drs now hun. Getting help is more important.

Be honest and let them help you get back on your feet stebiz. Post whenever you need to hun. ;)
Go make that call now angel - go get the help you so deserve.hug.gifThinking of you.
    Much Love,
    Tiff xxx
