Ohh something has came to attention, clickety click, seems most of us here are females, just wondered do females get depressed more than males? or maybe females are better at dealing with their emotions, dunno , theres one for ya to think bout? :)

, k better go now get some rest

    take care everyone

    xx

As a male, my experience is that males are not taken seriously, especially when you are my size and nobody ever thinks someone like me could be depressed/anxious/have low self esteem.

Everywhere you go 'If you are female and would like a female doctor...' etc etc but males get no choice.

It's more acceptable in a woman as they are considered the more emotional gender.

It's wrong, but most things in life are balanced in one way or the other, of which none of it is right.

Nice to see you posting Rose :T

    Hope all are okay.

I can't read all the posts now - you'll know how it is when you just can't do it :o

I replied to Tiff's post and it was so long, RSI is in danger of going out of fashion to be replaced by Dropped Off Wrist.

    Hopefully i'll feel better soon.

In the mean time, hope everyone has a good day tomorrow

Ok..:o ..I'm really pushing my luck, but here goes....

Miro my darlin', just a thought:think: , but have you looked at evening classes? If you're on benefits they can be free, or at least greatly reduced subscriptions:j ...That way you would be mixing with like-minded folk & have a chance to 'test the water' before forming any friendships with either sex AND getting out of the house for something a little more stimulating than a tin of beans! There are classes for all sorts of subjects nowadays & your library should have a syllabus , or contact the school/college direct for info.....
If I were looking, I'd be wishing I could find someone :heartsmil who thought exactly like you--& that my son, is no bovine excrement! It's my choice not to actively seek out a partner but if it were to happen over the bacon counter.. NOT THAT you smutty minded lot:rotfl: ..then it was destined to be.

Rose Wow...you've been busy! But you talk a lot of sense & folk could do well by heeding your words:o It sounds as if you've turned a corner & are heading back out of the maze..could you leave a trail of breadcrumbs for the rest of us:rotfl: :rotfl:

Some wise people have said it before, & only now do I realise the wisdom in their words.
"You are only a victim if you let yourself become a victim. Only you have the authority to take control of your life and how you lead it. It is your own perception that forms your life...no one or no thing can take that control from you unless you actively give it away."

Sorry to disagree BMF but all control of my life was taken away a long long long time ago and now I honestly believe it is too late to regain that control.

Dawnylou, am I right in thinking that you may have had a 'bad experience' sometime in your past? If so, does your doctor know, and have you had any sort of counselling or therapy since it happened? (((Hugs)))

FG, I have yes. My doctor doesn't know about this.
I am on a waiting list for counselling as we speak.
