You do realise just how low my boredom threshold is, when I tell you I was even typing slowly at the beginning:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
:j to all our new playmates. Our playground is very exclusive but we can always make room for the 'special people'! Only fees due are blue smarties, which will then be shared out at appropriate times by the Keeper of the Jar...namely Tiff.;)

I do tend to joke, & I appreciate that some may find it ironic for this thread, but please be assured that if something is causing you grief, it is not a laughing matter. We all come here for different reasons--all of which are as valid as the next poster--& we hope we can help, even if only to be here for you to vent towards.

    :hello: Everyone,

Hope all is well,I am fine today :) I went to get the dvd from Asda yesterday morning to find they had sold out of them.I went home disappointed, then a smile went on my face as I knew a Martins newsagent in Exeter that might stock it,so went there and it was in yipee, and as an added bonus I got todays dvd as well yesterday called Follow that Camel so did really well :)

Today I must do my thank you letters and do some ironing :)

welcome to the thread CNMM :)

    Have a lovely day :)

    love and light,

    Katie xxx
  • morning everyone

Hope you're all fine.. welcome to our new friends.. you've come to the right place cos they're a great bunch of peeps on this thread :)

Mumma you always make me smile.. you have a unique way of posting that conjures up exactly what you're describing hehe, have you thought about taking up writing creatively?

Tulip I'm glad you're feeling better and back home again. Enjoy your dvds :)

As for me.. I'm the only one up so far and I'm torn between tackling the jobs that need doing and risk waking up the house and getting another cuppa and wasting another hour on here ;)

Currently on the hunt for a new cleaner as the current one just isn't up to scratch really.. she's ruined and binned so many things it's unbelievable and if you ask her about anything, because her English is so poor she thinks you're accusing her of something terrible and runs off crying! OH asked the cleaning manager at work and he's going to lend us one of his girls twice a week, just have to sort out the details  I wish I didn't need a cleaner but this house is just too big and I can't cope with it all on my own, plus the fact that I'll be back at uni in 2-3 weeks and won't have time and I really don't want the stress of arguments over whose turn it is to do whatever.

my son has settled into his new timetable really well.. so that's one less thing to worry about, daughter is now faffing about and refusing to go to college or do anything useful with her time, she's pushing us all to the end of our tethers and I'm not sure where it will end, yesterday she asked to go back to hospital  which was very worrying as I'm afraid she might do soemthing to get herself there.

Hey everyone  Slow start for the sazter today...

Just wanted to say to cnmm, hi and welcome, and to echo what our tiff and gem have already said, which is that if the meds give you some respite until the counselling starts then i'd think it's worth a try. And as for counselling, it has been a godsend to me, i wish I'd started years ago, but we are where we are in life, and I guess i need my dear Tiff to [strike]bully[/strike] sorry, encourage me to go;) But all I can say is it's been so worth it for me. I wish you luck x

And to our gilly badger - sorry to hear you've been messed around by your boss. It seems increasingly common, these days, for people to use the contracting thing to take advantage. But the fact that you say it is a fairly new and chaotic situation maybe something you can turn to your advantage? Especially if your boss is not around much, perhaps you can get things set up the way you want them, without too much interference? Hoping it is a springboard to bigger and better things for you - you deserve them x

And to everyone else in our gang - big hugs and much love to you all. Have a great weekend.

    Much love,
    Sazzaroo xxxxxxxxxxx

Ethel--I'm sorry to say that I'm not 'au fais'(sp?) with your family situation....but is there not a juvenile CMHT unit your daughter could talk to?
I know there was a time when No3 offspring fell between the cracks of juvie & young adult cp help. Strangely, because Sprout had an unreal fear of being in school, & I decided to educate at home, we were not eligible for the educational pysc team, & not old enough for young persons!
At the time, I consulted a solicitor to see if we could enforce the LEA to find an appropriate placement or at the very least a home tutor, but we couldn't get funding for the case to go ahead.....X Files or what:eek:
I wrote to our MP, but he must have found out I didn't vote for the blue rinse brigade, & was about as much use as any of the dipsticks who are supposed to watch our backs. But that's another story..........
I wish you luck in finding a common ground with your daughter in particular, & will be around at various times if you want to compare 'Kevinitis' notes in respective teenagers!

For future reference, I will call my three: Cauli; Cabbage & Sprout---each of them has put the wind up me at one time or another:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have a good evening....no knees news to report....
Tulip? What do you think of the new look Casualty? I'm kinda getting used to it now, but prefer the old look....there was a thread--on Money Savers Arms I think--about both Cas & Holby City...I'm going to see if I can find it....

Have a good evening folks. Peaceful Minds. BMFx

I've not been feeling that good recently, and I think it's down to my new tablets. I've been really emotional - it's like having bad pmt all the time! And I've been so tired too. So sorry I haven't been around much.

Morning Sleepy Heads! You're missing the gorgeous autumn morning sun
sun rise & sun set have to be my favourite times of the day....all the colours; the birdsong; watching the world wake or settle down for the night........bootifull

Juno, I'm really surprised at the fact no-one was here for you last night, & I apologise for that. I think I was still downstairs, but probably wearing a dog scarf:eek: Offspring were all out, & pup can't settle unless he's cuddling me. It's quite sweet in a way, but a bit restricting....reminds me of when the offspring were cute little pups themselves..

Anyhoo, to get back to the point in question....it could well be the meds making you feel like this, until they start to kick in. But I've noticed you've made quite a few big changes in your lifestyle, & would hazard a guess at the culmination of all these, would indeed make you sleepy. If you've spent X time doing something & then suddenly stop, it takes a while for the body to catch up; a bit like amputees who can still 'feel' the limb they've lost.
As others have said before, perhaps try keeping a diary for a week or two & if things don't improve, you will have something to take back to the GP. HTH & very good luck.

!!KNEE ALERT!!...!!KNEE ALERT!! Left is beginning to twinge.....Happy Sunday!

  • Hello everyone

Thank you all so much for your support and kind words. I like your suggestions and have got to stop thinking so negatively all the time and try and think of all the positives. I didnt want the ads as I have heard that they make you feel spaced out and that you can get addicted to them so thats why I have always said no.

As for my trip I have thought of going to buy some kalms and try those from today until the weekend to see if they help.

It doesnt help that I have a back problem which is making my arms feel quite trembly (currently having physio) and that doesnt help my anxiety as I again fear the worst. Also it doesnt help as one of the thoughts I had last week was that I wouldnt be here by Wednesday of next week, just a stupid thought that popped into my head when I was in bad back pain last week and now that is playing on my mind too. Think once Wednesday comes I may start to pick up.

It does help though to know that I am not alone, I also have a friend that is identical to me and we talk to each other and try and help each other through the bad times.
