Thank you ilgd
I used to post in this thread quite a bit, but about 9 months ago I had a bit of a breakdown. I felt that people were ganging up on me and I accused a few people of a lot of things. I feel really bad about it now, but at the time I was convinced I was right and it all felt so real. I think I caused a lot of upset and pain, and I don't expect everyone to forgive me and allow me to waltz back in like nothing ever happened. I'd hoped they would though.
Around the time of the break down I had a sort of suicide attempt while very drunk, so I decided that I'd have to give up the drinkBeen sober for 9 months now. Lewt is a recovered alcoholic, and he often gives me advice. We are both in AA which has twelve steps. I'm not sure what the 13th step is though!
The thing that hurts the most is one person who I don't think can forgive my absence. I don't think they realise how hurt I was by our friendship, and I need time and space to 'get over it'.
Thank you for your lovely postIts very nice to meet you

Hi ilgd. I've only really visited here a few times. My low patches are (very low) but thankfully infrequent and don't last long. When I do find myself low though I find this thread has such support and care that it helps me - even if I don't post on it
To see that others are struggling with their thoughts and feelings and hurting too helps me - sorry if that sounds really selfish, but reading others experiences and reading about their dark moments helps somehow.
That's why I wanted to come back and just post that link for CBT as I discovered it after the last black session and after reading this thread and realising that maybe CBT could help a little (and it has so far). And to say thanks to everyone here too - as you never know who is reading this thread and getting help from your words - thanksworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
feelingg.....thanks for the reply.i hope whoever it was can read your post and get in touch.thank you for opening up about some of your reasons. no problem is unsolveable, (if thats the word im looking for:o )you only have to read tiffs chronicles to know that.
i would say to give them time and keep posting, then if they are still around on this thread, they will read your posts and hopefully realise that what you did was not malicious or anything, and you were in a bad place at the time.i know, as most of us here do, that words are more powerful than blows, but if you are genuinely sorry for your mistakes, then they should give you the chance to make amends.
when you have done all you can and this other person is still hurting, try to give it time.thats all you can do.good luck with it.will keep my fingers crossed for you.
i hate it when i fall out with anyone, especially with good mates(not that i have any, billy no mates me:rotfl: )...upsets me for ages, and i blow it up out of all proportion in my mind.
very proud of you for quitting the booze.:T if you can do that, you can do anything!!!

Still settling in, things aren't going as well as I planned so I might slip off quietly soon lol.
I'm making progress, finally on the waiting list to see the CMHT. Glad they've finally decided that I'm worthy of help!
There have been a lot of articles about britney recently. Really hope she sorts herself out.
Good to see you around again :j Hope you stop by :j
Good to hear you've made the waiting list. No-one thinks i'm worth the effort yet
Apparently Britney broke down after her performance, people think because the 'comic' that was on afterwards called her kids 'mistakes' :rolleyes:0 -
:j MI--RO:j MI--RO...................Good to see you again! Wondered where you had got to:rolleyes: Should have realised that as soon as Bridnee was around, you wouldn't be too far behind:rotfl: :rotfl:
Re: Looking for Work
As for not having any "skills", it's surprising how many skills you have without knowing. It's just a case of tweaking the descriptions...Take your previous/present employment skills- Call Centre---good telephone skills; sales experience; problem solving; dealing
with the public; detailed record keeping; IT skills - Shop
handling cash transactions; customer services; stock control; maybe
some computer skills - Cafe
food handling; food hygiene; handling cash; customer services; food
preparation - Factory
quality control; handling machinary; stock control
Wherever Britney is, I am (I wish)
Re: work - I have good experience, but been off work for nearly 3 years, which goes against me big style, as does my temper when someone tries screwing me over :rotfl:0 - Call Centre---good telephone skills; sales experience; problem solving; dealing

miro.....soo good to have you back.now, dont leave it so long next time...or im sendin the great dane sniffer dog to fetch you(that will be the day!!!cos hes so laid back, hes horizontal most of the time.right guard dog, i tell you:rotfl: )
:rotfl: Well, it all depends on my mood. I know it's sad, but the grief Britney is getting is making me angryThe world is a horrible place, build people up, knock them down - whoever is at the top now, will be down in 5 years and where Britney is. The way things are going, Britney may not be around much longer, and I don't just mean on the music scene. The papperazzi killed Princess Diana and they want more blood, it's how they work
Hope you are well and the guard dog is still horizontal :rotfl:0 -
Evening........I'm in shock with the swearing in Holby tonight! I didn't think they could do that before 9pm. I'm afraid it's one of my pet hates, people[especially 2 offspring]swearing when there really is no need. I'm not a prude, but just don't see the point in effing & such with every sentence. It's a very lazy way of communicating imo.
Sorry guys, guess I've not been sleeping properly or something...pass the mallet & I'll soon rectify that!
