Morning! hope all is well.I am fine today,off to my parents today for lunch,homemade beefburgers,Mash Potatoe etc I love my mums homemade beefburgers as they are really tasty and meaty

Simple, isn't it?:D
Ideas might include thanking someone for good customer service, polite call centres or your dustmen for the job they do or even compliment someone on what they're wearing.

You both end up winning, with a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Hi Andy,It proberly won't help but your daughter sounds like a typical teenager.It will pass and she will mature one day although that does not help at the moment.The posting on facebook ect is also typical of teenage girls,not got one myself but work with a couple.Not talking to parents is also typical,few do.The bad gcse's is of course more worrying but she could resit them in the future.You do sound very stressed out,try punshing pillows or smashing a few plates it works wonders.

Just time for a quickie... (story of my life!:rolleyes: )

andi - hun, please know this as the voice of experience speaking. I hope the following points may reassure you if DD is intending to move out there.

- She will need a visa. My ex-husband was a dual citizen and even though we'd been married for two years, I still had to get all kinds of paperwork. Even though he was at the time in the American Air Force and holding a full American passport, it didn't mean I'd automatically get in - nor our son!

- I then had to go to the American Embassy for a medical (blood tests - HIV etc., chest X-ray, examination) and formal Immigration interviews.

- You have to provide an army of paperwork. Not only your history, but your parents too.

- You have to either be sponsored (someone will have to pay for you, employ and house you and be responsible for you)
or
You have to be related
or
You have to have a specialist skilled job in fields that are hard to fill, that would be of benefit to the USA.

- She would have to be 18 I think to emigrate there.

- In addition, you can't have a criminal record and again I think, no history of mental illness.

She would not be entitled to any benefits, couldn't vote and could only work if it said so on her visa. She would also need to pay herself for medical insurance if it didn't come with her job.

- She would also have to be able to pay for her own keep if she went out there alone and they would want proof eg - savings, job offer.

And if she's looking to fly out around end of October - end of January, a £200 return flight will triple in price, as a general rule.

So, she's on shakey ground with her hopes of moving hun.
It has been a while since my experience, so why not search the web for the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (INS) , which handles all visas and see what the admittance requirements are now.

my dd is actually quite unwell,shes still suffering with issues around her anorexia which means so are the family,ie if you don't do this or that i'll stop eating and so it goes on

Hi tiff,i'm not religious so i can't have a word upstairs for you but i'll give my buddha a nudge for you,thanks for your reply about my daughter,as far as i'm concerned she can damn well get on with it all,i do feel sorry for those who have to put up with her poisonous (anorexic) behaviour namely her siblings and her mother and partner.
