Tiff i'm so glad you are staying, your posts are little rays of sunshine on here. Sorry you have been feeling hurt :grouphug:
Dawnylou I will be thinking of you, hope everything goes well :grouphug:
Tulip glad you enjoyed your DVD
Night all0 -
Hi guys!:hello:
Well we've made it to Friday guys, so that's the hard bit over with.
Blue sky dawn here in Warwickshire. You know the simplest of things can sometimes make you feel better.
I just read some messages of support posted last night and I confess there were a few Tiffy tears.:o
I'll tell you about the big things going on in Tiff World at the end of next week. I could tell you now but then I'd have to eat you!
However, I've had both catnip and smarties - a bowl of milk would have been nice! - and I guess it's back to business as usual for the Tiffster.:j
Before I go off and find a page to start on  , I just want to remind everyone that it's a long Bank Holiday weekend and to please make sure you've got enough meds for the next few days. If you can't get to your gp, then the duty drs can help or if not, A&E may be able to help you.
dawnylou - good luck for today to you and OH sweetheart. Thinking of you.
To the whole family, good luck to anyone with tests, meetings, appointments, treatment and counselling and extra Tiffy hugs for all those who are struggling.
And as there's been a lack of cat posts this week, I hope it's better late than never.;)
Wishing you all a good long weekend and peace of mind -
thinking of you all.
Much Love,

Hi pc!:hello:
How are you angel? I've found you here on page 62.;)
quote=poppycracker;
Thankyou for that post Tiff,
Not a problem angel - domestic violence or abuse is serious and it makes you feel the loneliest person in the world. I hope she's feeling better.
I've just had a long talk with my friend on the phone. She's gone from helpless to furious in two days (which is good IMO).
One day, when she's ready, your friend will use that strength to leave imho. Bear in mind that when she leaves with the children, her whole life will be turned upside down and she will be scared and upset and disoriented. This is when she'll need the comfort of familiar friends and maybe just someone to listen. I agree that it is a promising sign hun!:T
She had to go to hospital yesterday because she was having difficulty seeing after Saturday night. They sent her to a bigger hospital to get an Xray but himself went with her and they let him come in so of course they didn't get the true story.
That would have been a good opportunity. She could always make a gp's appt. I hope she was given the all clear hun? If so, I'm hoping that she may be angry/scared enough about the next time he loses control and goes to CAB.
I was feeling really guilty about leaving on saturday night, but the more I thought about it, the more I decided that it was the best thing to do because she was getting very stressed and angry and that might have provoked him again.
As I said angel, you did absolutely the right thing!:A The key to her having an easier escape will be to make her plans and leave without warning him.
She knows that we are here, and she knows that we will do what we can. I'm just so angry that we couldn't stop what happened on Saturday. But I DIDN'T KNOW! I'll pass on the numbers of some places which will help if she needs them too, thanks for those, you're an :A . (Does that get my blue smartie back?)PC[/quote]
Yes hun - a blue smartie heading your way. :rotfl: You couldn't have done any more than you did pc.;)
And when you're giving her the help, advice and support you can pc, make sure that you deserve it too and keep some for yourself.;)
Take care hun.
Much Love

Hi folks
Thanks for the welcomes and kind words last night, it's nice (but sad in a way) to see some folks from elsewhwere. I had a bad night worrying about my appointment today, but I've taken heart from Juno's post who had a similar experience yesterday - Thanks Juno, you helped a stranger:T .
I'm still desperately worried especially as MrP can't come with me. I just hope I can make it through the door.
I'm glad you're staying too Tiff, I know I'm new to here but I have noticed on my few previous visits just how thoughtful and valuable a person you are and your posts are always helpful. You're right in that we are a sensitive group because of our problems.
I must go and get ready, even that's an effort, but at least my appointment is 10.20 so at least I won't have a long to worry.
Thanks
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Hi rose!
Thank you for your lovely pm last night hun - much appreciated.:A Hope the weather's as nice where you are, as it is here.
quote=rose07;
Tiff, heheh, guess what ive got? the smarties :rotfl:, but no blue ones, seems they only do purple, yellow, green, red, brown, pink and orange , how r u hun? how is your mum doing? take care hun xxx
Good - the smartie disguise plan is working!
You may find the blue ones have become slightlyscarce suddenly - - that's because I grabbed as many as I could to hide in Tiff Towers and then with the ones that were left, I camouflaged them in another colour so that only Tiffy knows which are the blue ones!
Mum's hanging in there - she's still in the sheltered housing so she's keeping her precious independance atm.
As for me hun - not too great with different things - all will be revealed in a Tiff Chronicle hopefully next Friday!
Thanks for asking hun.
I have had a busy day, went to the unit, did my painting, which was great, its good to have some time to just freeze. came home and have been working for my dad, moving branches, and standing in the middle of the road while he cuts branches down, not the ideal thing to do i can tell ya.
I'm glad you're keeping up with the painting angel - very talented. It's a shame you didn't have some nice tree surgeons up there to ogle at instead of dad.
Tomorrow i have my psychiatry appointment, (its been a while), i am going to ask him if i can come off my meds, i dont want to rely on them all my life and they are getting to me more than the trouble is worth.
Great rose - always best to ask dr first. There may be an alternative within the same drug family that might help you without the problems of this one.
I'm sure you've been to the drs by now and discussed it. Please listen to your dr hun. You can't be too careful whe it comes to meds.;)
Oh i have a few questions...
! Here we go...fasten your seat belts!
1. If i move into a house can i get support for funding of the house?
Always best to call the council dept hun. Generally you get help if you're on certain benefits or your income is too low. If you're on Income Support you can.
2. If i want to do a course at college, can i get funding for it?
Yes if your income is below a certain level.
You may also be entitled to grants for equipment/books etc if this is the case, and maybe even travelling costs occasionally. There is the student loan scheme.
I'd suggest looking at all the grants and bursaries avaiable for your area of study rose.
With housing hun, something to bear in mind is certain charities like fch who provide property for vulnerable people. It can be linked to practical support if you want it too be - or not. Orbit Housing association us is another good one. Googe them for more info.;)
Again, the best thing to do is to get in touch with the Student Services Team and ask them rose. Some short courses can be free but you'd have to be careful about your benefits.
3. Is there someone i can talk to about getting help to fill in forms?
If you're referring to either housing or education forms, then CAB help with this. Also, housing officers and college staff in Studet Support can help you with this hun.
4. Why is love soo complex?
Love isn't complex angel - people are!
It's been a while for me hun so I can't really say - and no sazzy before you ask, I am not thinking back to neanderthal times when men thought that women being clubbed over the head was foreplay!:D :rotfl:
Why am I laughing? The way things have been recently, that would be a good offer!
5. Why cant i geta job, whats wrong with me?
I know it's frustrating rose, but someone will find you and your talents.:T -

Hi Tiff :hello:
OOH I got my blue smartie back
Yes, my friend did get the all clear from the hospital. I texted her last night but so far no reply so I shall try again now and then ring her this evening once she's dealt with the kids coming back from school.
I'm holding it together myself.... not sure what the St Johns wort is actually doing but not been taking it long so we'll see what happens in a few weeks. I'm trying to get OH to go to the Dr and see why he's losing so much weight, but you know men, they won't go near a dr unless they're dying  .
Getting paid from my second job tomorrow, so that will come in handy for my holiday. I'm really really looking forward to it now.
That's enough rambling from me, ((((big hugs)))) to anyone who needs one, sorry if I missed you out but I haven't read to the end yet!
Dawny, I'm still here sitting on my hanky for you and your fiance. :grouphug: hope everything is well.
