    Hi petrichor,

I know how you feel honey. I hit rock bottom again about 10 days ago - I know it doesn't seem like much help right now but you will start to feel better again soon. I didn't think I'd be saying that myself so soon after my last "crash" but hang in there.

You're not letting anyone down babe - you are a wonderful person, it's just unfortunate that you've perhaps done a little too much and your "fuse box" has blown a fuse. If you had the flu you wouldn't feel like you've let anyone down and depression is as common as that honey.

Take a bit of time out for yourself - I'm saying that like it's easy - it's taken all my energy today to come downstairs..... you just need time to recoup.

    Loads of love

slowlyfading I just wanted to send you a big (((HUG))) I'm not sure what support you are receiving atm. Do you have a counsellor or someone whom you can talk with on a regular basis?

I dont have anyone to talk to really... i just come on here and read msgs and things. I used to see the school counsellor when i was at school briefly for sh but not since i went to uni. I'm alright though, dont worry :) how are you today? x x

I've been writing down how I have been feeling using a blog on a depression site for a few weeks now and agree it does help. I think sometimes you feel you haven't seen any improvement, by writing it you can look back and see how far you have come.

Welcome to themadbird, love your avatar :D and petrichor lovely to see you here.

Awww Katie (((HUGS))) You're a much stronger person than you realise. Glad your DVD arrived. I hope you enjoy watching it later. You'll have to tell me what it's about as I haven't heard of it.

    :hello: RBK,

I went to my parents for lunch and It was nice, then I had a sleep for a while and it did me the world of good :) I just need a lot of rest and its so hot,I cant take the heat :) feel a bit better now but not 100% yet,I am a strong person I know it in my heart :) I just have to keep reminding myself of that every day :) I even play Britney Spears Stronger to remind myself as well :)

This is about the Last Mimzy :)

Based on the acclaimed sci-fi short story by Lewis Padgett, The Last Mimzy tells the story of two children who discover a mysterious box that contains some strange devices they think are toys. As the children play with these "toys," they begin to display higher and higher intelligence levels. Their teacher tells their parents that they seem to have grown beyond genius. Their parents, too, realize something extraordinary is happening.

Have a nice evening and thanks again for caring and being there for me and that goes for each one of you on this thread :) you are all great friends to me :)

    love and light,

    Katie xxx

  • *zippy* It's nice to see you post. Glad to hear you're enjoying your time off from work :)

:hello: poppycracker Where are you going on holiday? Bring some sun back with you please :D

themadbird Welcome to the depression thread. It sounds like you're going through a very stressful period. On the one hand you're really excited about a new house/new area but on the other hand you're scared to leave a house and area that you know extremely well. I think it's perfectly natural to be feeling this way.

Do you know what it is that scares you the most about moving?

queensway_boy Have your meds kicked in yet? Hope you're OK.

petrichor Welcome to the depression thread. Perhaps it would help if you were to write down how you are feeling and hand it to the Psychiatrist/Psychologist tomorrow. Sometimes if we have to talk to a new person we forget things as we are nervous but if you've got it all written down then it won't happen.

Please don't feel like you're letting your daughter or OH down. It's not your fault that you're ill. I'm sure they don't think you're letting them down. They probably want to get you as much support as possible to help you feel better.

I remember when I was in hospital and had hit rock bottom, the Dr's and nurses were like there's only one way now and that's up. Hopefully that applies to you as well. With ongoing support from professionals and your family and friends you will get there.

slowlyfading I do worry as I'm sure many others do as well. Surely your Uni. has councellors? Please don't suffer in silence hunni. xxx

I am OK, thank you :)

ilovegreatdanes :hello: I hope you are looking after yourself xxx
