I have lost count of the food safety courses I have been on with various companies through the years. There's more chance of my £100 premium bonds winning the million in the next draw than the jelly having made her daughter sick.
Unopened jelly is fine if kept in a fridge for up to 12/18 months past it's best before date.
That's great then, so you will be able to show me some proof that refrigerated jelly with fruit in is fine to eat for up to 12/18 months past it's best before date.
I also have my doubts that the jelly caused the child to be sick but I certainly wouldn't just rule it out like you and others have done.
By the way I can only be "told" things by people qualified to do so.0 -

Well you've been "told" it by me. Notice my post above mentioned jelly specifically. By the way there appears to be no Tesco product that is jelly with a bit of fruit in from searching online.
Here's some proof all be it from across the pond but that doesn't matter as we all have the same stomachs etc http://www.eatbydate.com/other/sweets/how-long-does-jello-last-shelf-life/
Just out of interest Zandoni what is it you do?0 -

The OP is talking about Jelly with fruit in, not just jelly on it's own. If you start talking about a different product your point is not valid.0 -
Being told by you means absolutely nothing unless you have some sort of formal qualification.

My knowledge has always been superior to yours without needing proof, our thanked post rate pretty much proves that. Fruit will distaste only at most and not cause sickness.
Again, Just out of interest Zandoni what is it you do?0 -

Can you provide a link to that product from Tesco's website (jelly with a piece of fruit in) because as far as I can see unless you do it doesn't exist! Finding this product might get you out of the whole you're in if you can find it.
I'm certainly not in any hole. Perhaps these are what the OP bought, unfortunately we haven't been given the full information.

Wasn't hard to find by the way
Please stop editing your posts and changing the question it's very confusing.0 -
That say's this "blended in jelly"
It's not exactly a piece of fruit. Zandoni you blatantly know nothing on this subject except using your anti retail bias! This would never make someone sick only after a few weeks. Not one single person on here has said this probably was the cause!
Again Zandoni, what is it you do?0 -

I have no anti retail bias, but I do have an anti rudeness bias.
I have also said I doubt the jelly with fruit in would cause the sickness, but you can't say for sure.
What I do for a living is of no concern of yours.0 -
Don't you know?

I'm fascinated. Zandoni seems to have no understanding of how many things in the business world work. I'm just fascinated as to what occupation someone could be in to understand so little.0 -

You told me you are a shop assistant, so what do you know about the world of business?
I'm glad I fascinate you.0
