I'm really not sure if I'm allowed to link this or not? But the acid treatment I mentioned earlier comes in different strengths on ebay and I've found it to be fantastic, you can do it once weekly and it's great IF your skin takes to it and is not too sensitive, you can get at least 6 treatments out of it.

Apologies if I'm not allowed to paste the link, but if I am, it's a really good way of getting salon treatment for a cut price at home. Just DON'T do it more frequently than once a week or leave it on for longer than the stated time!! It IS acid.

I'm lucky in that I don't have much expenditure on clothes or beauty treatments or makeup at present, but I know I will start to want things in a few months time when my stock runs out.

I'm also lucky in that I very firmly know what I like now, for the past few years I have been putting coconut oil on my hair for a few hours before shampooing, I was quite entertained to see an article earlier which mentioned doing this as the best way for fine hair (I have very fine hair but masses of it!).

I'm not a beauty guru anyway, far too much of a slob, but it's nice to cut corners in this arena because I remember when I was younger I used to go for l'oreal salon treatments, dye my hair and buy Estee Lauder cosmetics and perfume here there and everywhere and use fake tan, I used to think that was da bomb when I was just starting out on life! Oh and looking out for the department store sales when I stocked up on Guerlain. It's a huge other world away now, I look out for parabens and SLS.

Silver Bullet if you run out of something, like your eye liner, then it's fine to repurchase because it IS necessary.

We are supposed to be avoiding all UN-necessary purchases, I say supposed as I fail often. However, I do think more before buying because I know I will have to confess here!

Boots cleansing wipes - WNBA, from late step mums stash. I have lots of baby wipes from her to use as well but I used one last night to remove my make up and it left my face red??? Surely they should be delicate if they are meant for babies? I know,they are not meant for the face, but I have many packs from her so what else can I use them for?

sam.4000 - wow, that is some stash, it must be taking up a lot of room, where do you store it all? I too have huge amounts and am fed up of the space it is taking up.

I'm tempted by this myself, especially as cleansers aren't one of the products I have a stash of. I have just bought a cheap and cheerful facial wash to use in the shower but prefer a hot cloth cleanser for use when I am just washing my face at the sink. Not due to go into town for at least a week or ten days though and don't want to make a special trip - the petrol or train fare would cost more than the saving on this.

Oops! Massive fail on my part but I blame you FizzWhizz! I had been intending to try the Superdrug hot cloth cleanser for some time. Saw your post and had a look on the website. Free postage on orders over £10 so it would have been rude not to ....

As well as the cleanser I have ordered the face pack from the same range - not a product I use often or have a stash of - I'm using an Aromatherapy Associates face pack freebie atm. I am liking it but not enough to spend £36 on it. :eek:

To make it up to £10 I have also ordered my HG Herbal Essences Shampoo and Conditioner - also both less than half price and will last me for ages. I'm currently using shampoo and conditioner from the Pound Shop which are OK but throughly bored with them now and my hair does seem to improve if I ring the changes with different products every now and again.

I'm using roll on deodorants at the moment. I think they are more economical and more effective but they seem to be taking ages to dry. I have therefore ordered an aerosol, also on special offer. I will go back to the roll ons when the aerosol is used up or when the warmer weather arrives, whichever comes first. Pretty sure it will be used up before the warmer weather, as the aerosols never last very long.

I am now off to the naughty step for the rest of March. I shouldn't need to buy anything else and think I will change my pledge for this month to 'no buying unnecessary toilets in Lent'. Not sure what I will do if my order doesn't arrive before Lent starts - I suppose I could add them to my stash list early and then they won't count.

ETA that should read 'no buying unnecessary TOILETRIES in Lent', not 'toilets' lol! If I start buying spare toilets just in case I ever need one then I will know I have definitely lost the plot!

3 INs on the first day of the month for me :rotfl:Got 3 packs of Simple face wipes, as they were 3 for 2 in Boots. I used the points off my loyalty card so they were free :j I'm already using up my last pack so I had to buy some more, and that was all I bought.

I had the same issue and still do but not as bad. I'm trying to be more organised in general so now have most of the stash that's not actually in use in the spare room, sorted like for like, apart from the gift sets which are still in their original packaging, in case I actually decide to gift them to someone other than myself!

I have a couple of sets of plastic drawers and have all the make up in one drawer, all skin care products in another etc. That way I am less likely to buy duplicate products because I've forgotten I have them or just can't find them.

I also have a basket in the living room containing products that I want to use up but don't actually need to be in the bathroom or bedroom to use - mainly hand creams, perfumes etc.
