Wouldn't it make more sense to wonder why you are getting an increased number of reports - fix that problem - and consequently not have an increased number of reports to deal with? :think:I alone handled 46,000 last year and those are only the ones that needed to be escalated to me, our extremely hard-working Forum Team guys deal with more.
Each and every day!
Do you really want that sort of hassle?0 -
Hi Mandlebrot
We're getting so many more reports because our forum has grown that much, simple as that really - we have 1.25m joined members and 35 million posts on it now.
If we're keeping the forum we have to put up with the hassle. Obviously if people on the forum could simply be friendly to each other and speak as they'd like to be spoken to that would help cut them down immensely
Hi Tixy
I'll be honest, I don't know. It's something we can look into however I'm not really sure it's something we want to remove. It helps you know the report actually reached us and helps us know you knowCould you do with a Money Makeover?

The number of daily active users is likely to be a lot lower.
Your main forum page says "Most users ever online was 27,559, 24-02-2014 at 9:23 PM.".
And of course many of them will not be posting, and very few of them will even think about 'reporting' something. If it relates to a technical problem on the site, they will probably post a question on a board.and 35 million posts on it now.If we're keeping the forum
For many people, the forum is exactly the source of specific information that they need to help them through issues. They ask about their particular situation, and receive tailored advice.Obviously if people on the forum could simply be friendly to each other and speak as they'd like to be spoken to that would help cut them down immensely
But then, I'm one of the dreamers ...0 -
I've received the following e-mail after submitting a report:
Welcome to MoneySavingExpert.com. Please click the link below to create a password and login.
https://moneysavingexpertcom.zendesk.com/verification/ etc
Given that I've already got an account and login I'm not sure what's happening
I'm intending to ignore it0 -

Absolutely :T
I have a question slightly related to this: it used to be the case that if you want to put someone on ignore you clicked on their name and the option came up to add that user to your ignore list. But this option doesn't seem to be there anymore? Does this mean you have to go into User CP and manually add that person's user name to your ignore list?0 -

Seems that if:
(a) You report using the report button on a post.
or
(b) A member of the forum team responds to a report with an email - perhaps asking for more info etc.
the resultant email or ticket is coming though in many or all occasions with a reply to/return path address of noreply@moneysavingexpert.com
Obviously if someone clicks reply to on that message, and reply will bounce as undeliverable.
