Lainie, firstly welcome to this merry band of losers, we are all losers and proud of it! secondly a big well done on your efforts so far, what you have done is great and speaking from experience the next thing is to have patience :) I have lost close to 10 stone, it has taken me 18 months and nearly every day is a test, frustration is always there. Use every support method possible. Friends, relations, msn, this very group, people that care will help and support you and together you will keep going and make a difference. :)

If your really bored, my story is hiding in here somewhere, the link is in my signature :)

    Have a great day

Hey Lainie, hugs and welcome. You are amazing and have such determination. What a brilliant idea to set up your own support group when you couldn't find one anywhere else. And as Suggs says, you can use that and this and to help you each day. You've got all the WW stuff now and understand the principles, so get the support here that you can't get at class any more. :T

Victory: I feel I need to offer you more support in giving you the chance to burn off more calories by spring cleaning my place from top to toe. I seem to have become domestically challenged recently :rotfl: .

Heey welcome back Ajax. That gain will soon come off again, demoralising as it is. Tried the Thai Quorn filet(.5syn) last night. Very nice meat substitute. Quite hot.:D

...thanks bb, it had better. The irony of having buffet sandwiches at a training course about lean manufacturing was not lost on me. You thought the thai fillets were hot? I just find 'em tasty but I tend to go overboard with hot stuff.

I'm in full agreement with you Bb I'd like to offer my support to Victory too, I know that I won't be able to live with myself if she gains weight just because I was so selfish as to clean my own kitchen :rotfl: :rotfl: I haven't cleaned behind my cooker since it was bought :o , I'm sure I can hear vague rustling noises coming from the back of it at night time, I dread to think what's set up home there  ...

... Hey ajax don't worry about that gain you can be sure that it will be gone again by next week ;) ...

... I so wanna agree...... but I also so wanna go to the real ale pub with my best mate next Wednesday, as he's suggested it. And that's the day before weigh in. I haven't had a night out with 'the boys' for months though so I'm right betwixt and between.

    Hi Peeps

    Please can I join you??

I struggled with my wieght for almost 20 years now, have treid every diet under the sun. I always seem to manage to loose between 2 and 4 stone and then put it all back on again. I eat when I'm bored and for comfort and its always the wrong things, mainly chocolate.

Went to the doctors last week 'cos it's starting to hurt whenever I get up after sitting for half an hour or so and my concentration has gone out of the window. I've had everything tested possible and it looks like the only cause can be my weight. I have 9 stone to loose if I'm to get to the weight that is suggested for my height but that seems such a huge amount I'm scared to even contemplate how I'll get there.

I think I'm going to give SW another try as I really don't think I'm dedicated enough to count calories, although I will be doing it by myself as I haven't got the guts to go to a class.

    Thanks

    Hi all

I didn't go to weigh in tonight but so will leave it as a maintain cos i haven't been good at all.

Suggs I did new Clait last year and decided to do ECDL to improve my non existant computer skills. I am also doing word processing and have my level 2 legal and medical next week along with database at ECDL. I don't know what I'm going to do with...:o I used to be a nurse but injured my back and havent been able to work since so I decided to retrain myself:D Being a medical secretary is quite appealing if I can find a job like that. Oh and I forget to ask which team support? At this rate I wont even have one to support. DS said he was going to change to Liverpool but I've beaten that out of him now:rotfl: :rotfl:

Last week someone posted a recipe for pasta bake ( I think it may have been Petrichor:confused: ) but I cant find it. Does anyone have it or a link to it???

Working out next weeks meals before I do online shopping at Asda to stop myself impulse buying things we wont eat:rotfl:

    Cheers Jo
