Hi everyone:hello:
Was just wondering if there are a load of recipes somewhere??
On the first page of this thread there are a list of links, except the one for the recipe thread doesn't go anywhere!!
Thank you in advance for any help.:T
Keep going everyone!!

I've lost half a stone so far - and although the bulges squidged over the top of the waist band are reducing - the clothes still fit/don't fit the same
It's slow and steady wins the race - the slower you lose it the more likely you are to have changed your eating habits longer term and so more likely to keep it off - so I keep telling myself anyway
1lb a week is still a loss, and that's the right direction.
Made lots of chicken soup last night from the carcass of the roast - so have had porridge today and will try and just have soup for lunch and see how it goes and how hungry I get. Have my emergency muller light in the fridge thoughworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

I like newlywed's idea of automatically have the spreadsheet work out the BMI. I'll be nicking that
Hullo, I know I've proven my maths skills suck with my decimal faux pas :-) But if by Base -10 you kinda mean the log then you can specifiy the log number if you set up another column and go to the more sums function in the sum button menu and search for Log then you can enter the number you want logged and the base to which you want it done...
I do feel my recently aquired 'scientist crown' slipping away though so I wouldn't be suprised if this is still complete gibberish and not what you're after :rotfl:0 -
but then we're off to India for a month so a bit of Dehli belly might even me out, lol! :rotfl:
... hey dellybelly, you leave bails alone !!!!!!!My current fave is Big Girls are Beautiful, I'm adding it to my Illness Anthems on my iPod!

...umm if you are talking log as in logarithm then I think we're on about different things. Base 10 is decimal (ie the largest number you can use is a 9, at which point the decimal point shifts right a place). Binary is base 2 as the largest number you can use is 1 - binary obviously being all 1s and 0s. (Reminds me of a funny line - There are 10 types of people on this world - those who know binary and those who don't. Made me chortle anyway.)
Ideally we need a base-14 scale so that 9st 10 lbs would be recognised as being 4lb more than 9st 6lb, not 5lb less than it. With base-14, you could use numbers up to 13 before a 'decimal' point would shift right a place.
Sorry if I'm talking cobblers... I know what I mean but am not good enough with words to be able to express it in proper mathematical terms.0 -
Ajax I now understand what you mean
and yes all my suggestions...completely useless :rotfl:

..:) But with the use of spreadsheets so common for all purposes these days, I'm amazed this function isn't built into Excel. Guess it's because it's so US-biased.... they only talk in raw pounds rather than stones and pounds, and their sports scoring is all decimal-based like batting averages of .378 in baseball. Trying to get excel to do cricket scoring is a nightmare with six-ball overs..... why can't we change 150 years of cricket history and have 10-ball overs just to suit Mr Gates?0 -
(this does not include you yet Brightonbelle
)
First of all a bigto our newcomers, grannywise, sureslim, skint_catt, gijsanne, Lelc and Tan007 I hope you enjoy it here and find lots of inspiration, we are a friendly bunch (except BrightonBelle :rotfl: it will take at least another day Bb
) who try to make the slimming journey more enjoyable...

It seems to be a series of one to one meetings with a 'consultant' and a plan to follow based on the results of blood tests (e.g. if you've got raised chloresterol). No special pills, powders etc, just ordinary food. BUT it costs hundred of pounds. I'm not sure if I'm that desperate. Does anyone on here have any experience of the company?
I've never heard of this, but you obviously know how to go about slimming, why pay hundreds of £'s when it is only you who controls what you put in your mouth. These sort of companies rely on a person's weekness and make a fortune into the bargain. As you say it's just ordinary foodso why not get the inspiration from us here and save the money for yourself - at least please give us a try first for free - however, if it makes you feel any happier to pay out this money you can always send it to my account in the Cayman Islands :rotfl: and I'll tell you what to eat :rotfl:...

). Next week you will have a makeup loss
