SiannieLaz - that was a big batch cook - well done. Do you have any friends who could pass on some clothes to you. My DS gets a bag every so often from an older boy and it really helps, plus they buy expensive clothes for their son so DS gets kitted out really well.
A SFD today. I have already run and cycled this morning as it is supposed to rain again. Avon to deliver tonight, not much money in this one, only £20 but it's £20 we wouldn't have had otherwise.
Today I am thankful that I am strong, healthy and getting steadily fitter, for losing 3lb's this week, for hot showers after all that exercise and for the hot buttered crumpet I had, the thought of which was the only thing which kept me going up a hill on the way home:rotfl:Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

:wave:Hi Peeps
Congratulations on your debt freedom Mrs GSR
Good to see you'll be back Abundant
Been missing in action for the last few days doing shiftwork and have caught a humdinger of a cold! Im not getting out of bed today for love nor money.. I will have a duvet day with the odd trip to the kitchen and loo
Have lost track of SFDs but I think I have 15 to date! I have added up my spends and updated my signature though. I got paid yesterday but not sure how much as I havent checked my account and The Firm dont distribute pay slips 'til a week later! I will have a look and work out budgets in the next few days when my head cold has cleared and my brain is in a better place to look at figures.
I am so gutted peepsI set my alarm early this morning and my laptop was all set to buy tickets to see the legend that is Kate Booosh on tour but all tickets were sold out in the first 15 minutes!
I was thinking the other day that there arent many artists I would go and see live and then the Boosh announced tour dates.. I am ashamed to say I would have gone into debt to see her perform
So I guess its money saved..
I am orf to drown my sorrows in a cup of Lemsip
Hope you have a good day Torties

Hi all. I have no idea what my totals are in all honesty
I have treated myself to a cake though, as I became a mum 21 years ago for the 1st time-so as I don't drink, to numb it all i'm having a cake, lol!
I was paid today :j So totals have been suitably adjusted. I'm broke and can't save anything untill i'm debtfree, but at least I can pay it off, so i'm grateful for that!
Can't wait to join up for April! Stewby, please join in too, most us off don't post all the time anyway
Good luck everyone and take care.:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
hello all!
I'm getting excited when is the next challenge starting NSK?
Clocked up another NSD - going for a drink or two later with people I haven't seen for ages and hoping I won't have to buy the round then I can have another NSD!!!(is it permitted to flutter eyelashes for a few gratis drinks from friends?
)
spends - better than expected this last month but next month it's all about the debts!
Hope everyone is having a good day

Hi all, Was gutted earlier in the week. I wrote a long post and lost it when I tried to post it. The pc had been idle for a while and I only realised I hadn't posted it when I was closing all of the windows down but I was too tired to re-write it.
Thankfully my big looming work deadline that I have been working hard towards went well yesterday, so that was a big relief. I now feel like I can get my life back, I've been working too many hours and neglecting any other aspect of my life so I'm really looking forward to having a good weekend when I don't either do work or think about it. Not been doing tremendously well this month, but still keeping it together, apart from on groceries where I have gone over by a little.
Totals are as follows:
Groceries £243.31/£240
Walk to work: 3/4 (going to walk on Monday)
SFD: 10/15 (won't achieve target but not bad)
Exercise: 9/12 (Not good for me but next month will be better)
Lunch to work: 16/16
My quest to become less dependent on meat has faded into oblivion but I will have another look at that next month. I think if I learn how to use pulses better it will make things easier. I have a yearning to eat lentils and chick peas it seems.
Not much to report otherwise. OH is away on holiday with the lads but he has called a few times to let me know he is ok and enjoying himself. I don't begrudge him that. He never grumbles when I have my weekend away with the girls.
I did feel quite proud of myself yesterday. I had run out of milk and was driving home and was going to pop into the spar shop to pick up some more and thereby ruin a SFD, when I remembered I have some skimmed milk powder in the cupboard so I drove straight past the shop and made a pint up there and then. I think it tastes better after standing overnight and I couldn't tell the difference on my porridge this morning. Result! I also didn't have any tomatoes and I always have a handful at lunchtime so I peeled and cut up a carrot and had that instead. OK not a lot of saving there but better than nothing.
I have also tracked every penny of cash spend this month. There have been a few people leaving at work so much of it has been given away in collections.
Looking forward to the next challenge, when hopefully I will have time to be more engaged.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Hi all,
Back again after having a sleep. I'm usually a wreck on Fridays as I am on my final day of nights, I do ask myself why I put myself through it but there are so many reasons why I do!
Round up of the month. All targets achieved and became DEBT FREE:T:j hurrah!
Also I gave blood for the first time ever this month which has made me feel really empowered, one of my friends has asked to come along next time as well
I think I will always take part in these challenges because it gives me focus and will help me to achieve my goals, there are some fantastically supportive people on this thread and we are all on a journey learning more about ourselves and appreciating the real things that matter in life AND learning from each other.
I apologise for my garbled post, it's been a long week and I am shattered!Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
