I've just called the Halifax to get progress as my 8 weeks is up I the next few days and all the operator will say is my claim has been upheld and is awaiting a final decision. He was suitably vague when I asked for more info. Does this mean I may be in for a pay out?

    It appears you are.

Is there a way I can calculate what the payout will be. I know wha my monthly payment was and how long I paid it for?

Can anyone help me work out what my payout should be. I paid £20 per month for 11 years my last payment was May 2005?

It will be the PPI element of the policy only (not the life assurance, critical illness cover or income protection parts - if you have them). For the whole period plus 8% simple interest.

On all my documentation The payments were never broken down into separate elements and they just took one payment out each month.

Do I just add 8% on the total amount on of the payments then?

If you had all the elements bundled, they will separate it, then redress you acording to that.
