    Nationwide ending dual-pricing from tomorrow.

Free valuations for all, £250 cashback for current account customers regardless of source and end of four year fixed "Flexclusives."

    About time!

I take it as I've had an offer, but not completing until Jan, it's not possible for me to access this?

    Dunno what you have/want.

Speak to your broker about difference.

5 year fix at 2.44% on HtB. Already paid for my valuation though, and can't actually find that rate on the product list on the intermediary website. I'll call my broker tomorrow if the main website shows my rate with the cashback option...

    Absolutely about time.

However, is this wise with there service already broken?

I would have preferred them to sort that out first, then do this when they're on top of things

Don't be surprised if a number of Lenders are intermediary only this time next year.

I read that the other day.

Im at an event next week with some lenders and our mortgage club I think. It will be interesting to see if they expand on that.

Lenders are struggling now that they have to give 'advice' rather than 'information'. It is not cost effective and dragging account holders in for three hours meetings does not do much for the brand.

Unless they can make cross sales profitable they may as well pay you half a percent ACG.

New Flexclusives 5 year still only available direct. C'est la vie.
  • After reading this I'm worried now as I've gone with nationwide via my broker and it seems like they're generally a pain! Hopefully he's a good as some of you at resolving these issues :).

I've just been having a giggle reading through the 'malapropisms' thread on my favourite football site.

    Thought I'd share a few;-

    damp squid
    escape goat
    solemn oaf
    tempting faith
    baring a miracle
    fraudulent slip
    pass mustard
    mute point
    tow the line
    pedal stool
    dangerous president
    neon nazi
    mister meaners
    baron spell
    mask murderer.

I know some are a bit 'homophoney', but still funny.
