They are being really quick and seem to be using common sense with certain things.

That's two factors I don't normally associate with Leeds B S. Best of luck.

Knowing me, I'll probably jinx it now.

Leeds shared ownership application submitted on 24 June.

Minimum requirements plus other stuff secure emailed 24 June.

Email confirming minimum requirements met 25 June.

Requirements letter received 29 June indicating no further requirements and valuation instructed.
Valuation done last week and offer issued today.

Nineteen days from app to offer.

Soooooo 24 days after everything had been recieved by the lender,
9 months worth of bank statements,
    9 months worth of payslips,
    3 accountants references,
3 people giving me the same and wrong information,
    2 complaints,
    1 inch off my hairline
god knows how many points on my blood pressure
.... and we have an offer!!!

Lenders employess (3 of them!) gave wrong info before DIP, before full app and after the full app and trying to get them to honour it was impossible.

I think I would say that is probably the worst application I have ever had on my desk... and everything looked ok until the underwriter picked it up. It just shows even when you try to pre-empt any problems the lender can make mistakes.

Application submitted to NatWest on 24 July.

    Emailed all docs 25 July.

    Acknowledgement 27 July.

Email to say case offered on 29 July.

Five days from application to offer, across a weekend too? Surely this can't be right given all the negative comments about NatWest?

Yep, you got it. Just informed it was sent in error and the valuation hasn't even been done yet.

    Pathetic.

    Haha!
The flip side to that is I have 3 applications with Skipton, all of them are telling me (and clients) that there are documents outstanding.

2 of them have gone to offer and 1 of them has even drawn down on the funds with a planned completion for Monday.

On phone to Halifax for an hour today.

Contractor applicant is paid in other european currency. Money is paid into UK bank's other european current account with 40-XX-XX sort code, then converted to GBP and transferred to sterling in account with same bank.

Halifax has compared bank statements and because he doesn't convert every penny he earns into GBP immediately, they have asked for another document.

My suggestion that they were preventing him from trying to await more favourable exchange rates by forcing him to convert his entire income immediately was rebuffed.

He is a director of a limited company paying himself small salary and dividends. What has been requested?

    A P60.

I couldn't keep the incredulity out of my voice. A P60? Are you sure, not SA302 and tax overview? Well, we could use that, but a P60 would be better.

    Yet another BDM escalation job.

I had something similar today. Lender telling me they would want SA302s for someone employed...because his dad owns the company.

Asked them to double check to confirm that was correct and was given the same answer. Oh well, gives me an excuse to avoid Woolwich.

Halifax should have accepted the account was a UK bank account and shouldn't have requested anything else.

    Requirement removed.

  • Nationwide - DIP referred on 22/07. DIP approved 06/08 - two weeks and one day later.

Went to full app 08/08 - paid fees and case moved to decline. Called 10/08 and they said it was showing an unknown error code and technical team would resolve.

As of tonight still nothing - to say I'm angry really doesn't do it justice.
