I have one in with a lender currently.

U/W - Please provide evidence that gifted deposit has been in the donors account six months.

Me to BDM - Why are they asking for this - it's nonsense

BDM - It only applies to gifts from overseas -

Me - it's from the UK and a UK account

BDM - I will get the requirement removed

Call centre - We need proof that gift has been in the bank 6 months

Me - BDM says for overseas cash only

Call centre - That's what I thought, I'll get the U/W to remove it

U/W - Please provide evidence that gifted deposit has been in the donors account six months.

Halifax is pulling the SDLT cashback products at 8pm tonight. If you have any pending, it's "buy now while stocks last" time...

I hate that. 4pm on the final day. I had 1 to do before I left the officeoffice at 5 for another appointment.

Client was waiting on their new card for the joint account to come through and also didn't know if their solicitors could act for them, so now I have to change the direct debit and solicitors because Halifax made us rush it.

Still got the product, but what if I had been in an appointment at 4pm?

Why can't they give more notice? It's not TCF if you ask me

  • Call from Natwest yesterday - on a remortgage

Them 'We need to know what the additional funds being released are for?'

    Me 'Personal consumption'

Them 'Sorry we need more than that'

Me ' Ok then, he's going on a cruise and doing some work around the house '

Them 'I'm. Sorry we won't be able to proceed as we cannot advance extra funds for those purposes'

Me 'do you wan want to go and check that'

Two minutes later ' that's all fine - I'm issuing offer now'

Seriously... When you actually have to tell them what to do...

Knowing me, I'll probably jinx it now.

Leeds shared ownership application submitted on 24 June.

Minimum requirements plus other stuff secure emailed 24 June.

Email confirming minimum requirements met 25 June.

Requirements letter received 29 June indicating no further requirements and valuation instructed.

How do you find Leeds b/s?
I have tended to avoid them after the last case I sent them but I am not sure if its a case of once bitten or if they are just in the same arena as Accord.

We are currently applying through Leeds via a broker and they are coming back within 24 hours after submitting extra documents. They are being really quick and seem to be using common sense with certain things. Cant fault them so far!

So far so good with this case.

Haven't used them for a good few months and at that time we'd expect an offer in around three weeks from application.

I might give them another try then.
Last time I used them my bdm was useless and NEVER not once answered her phone. I suggested she came in to go through processes/criteria etc and you would think I asked her to move a mountain with her bare hands and the case itself had underwriters being anal to the n'th degree about everything.

On a side note, this broker lark is a hard life. Im sat having to work in my back garden :)
