  • I have just had a look- it looks like when you do the total to pay it is excluding any products that don't let you add part of the fee- like the nationwide £99 booking fee (£0 arrangement fee) - It must be an error their end as it says in the warning box on the 'add fee' button it will exclude any products which don't allow you to add part of the fee, However it says on the total to pay part where applicable which would indicate it will only add where it can (not exclude where it cant)

Surely they must be able to fix it.......

To fix a problem they'd have to acknowledge it first. I've found the other products it's excluding, Aldermore with a £995 on completion, and Coventry no fee £199 booking fee product.

With the Aldermore products it shouldn't be excluding the products it should be adding £995 to the 'total to pay figure' over any period that you ask, thus ranking it as it should.

You are spot on about the add fees button, I'll point that out to them.

Thanks for the suggestions. Just had a call back from a head technical guy to explain that the system is indeed broken and can't do what is asked of it. Looks like I'll head back to mortgage brain I guess.
  • did they mention whether there are any plans to fix it.......

I hit "submit" on a Nationwide application at 14:58.

It's now 17:18 and the application summary is still not in the document store for me to download.

    Why?

    It just arrived.

I've saved it to the client file and to our compliance system.

    Three hours?

Just had one of the ultra fun ppi misselling complaints... YAY

Got a call yesterday from my manager. A mr x has called claiming he was missold ppi by you. Can I have the file please and can you be on hand when I call him back

fast forward to today and I was listening as my manager called him (manager calls first to try and sort before being booked as an official complaint to see if can be dissappated first as we are personally fined £55 a month for 12 months if we have an upheld complaint)

basic conversation went with my manager asking him why he felt he had been missold ppi. He said he didn't know he had it and that it had been missold because it was added on without his knowledge

manager said he was right he didn't have it. He has life insurance and income protection which is not ppi and for which he pays a monthly direct debit for. There is also an email from him to me confirming he has signed the documents for the policy and taken them into the branch for them to scan to me

client then backtracked to - I did know about it but I didn't want it or need it

manager then confirmed with him that he is the sole earner with a sahm and a 5 year old and has no sick pay or life insurance. There was also another email from me to him asking when he was free to go through the questionnaire and him confirming the day and time.

he then claimed it was too expensive - £10 a month for life and £14 a month for ip with friends life over 34 years covering his mortgage...

Also friends have refunded him the £58 in premiums he has paid and cancelled the policy.

Manager told compliance of the conversation and they laughed and said that they love the try it on complaints.

Just hope nothing happens to him in the next 34 years as his wife will up !!!! creek.

    God love MMR!

Single or Living with partner - makes a 20-25% difference on what someone can borrow even if the other person has a job as is not reliant on them in any what so ever.

If my mrs moved out I can guarantee my bills would not go down by 20%.

    Halifax application submitted on 11th.

    Single payslip faxed 11th.

Valuation done 14th and case offered 15th.

No strings pulled, or escalations. Just "normal" service. I presume the surveyor was already going to the site yesterday.
