It appears to us that all the regulated BTL providers have run for cover since 26/4?

    Is that everyone's experience?

Pretty confident there are 1-2 still out there, although expect them to be changing criteria at some point.

Got told yesterday Santander appreciate their systems are painful at the moment and they do have an upgrade for their intermediary site. It goes live sometime in July!!!

12:40 email from our Spanish friends, case passed to underwriter.

12:40 email from our Spanish friends, case agreed.

12:43 email from our Spanish friends, "Documents/Information outstanding;-

"the LTV is still over the maximum allowed for a loan with an Interest Only repayment method."

This is a BTL purchase at 70% LTV on pure interest-only with sale of property. It had already been agreed once, allegedly.

If the systems engineers did not leave bugs they would not get their support contracts

Halifax is pulling out of shared equity (inc HTB - EL) and shared ownership for anything other than FTBs from tomorrow.

If you have any shared equity or shared ownership stuff for home movers you have to get them submitted and fees paid by 8pm tonight.

I do mainly shared ownership. Will it affect people porting and remortgaging?

If they aren't going to accept SE or So from non-FTBs, I don't see how they can lend to existing borrowers.

That would put an end to remortgages for either too.
