At least your BDM is not unavailable - again
I was surprised he responded to an email I copied him into, to brokersupport@barclays.com, or whatever it is.

I only asked them if it was five working days to get something looked at.

Just had THE best conversation with a building company...
    - Hi, i have a DIP for our mutual client do you want me to email it over to you?
    - Who is it with?
    - Aldermore.
    - Who are they? Why have you used them?
    - A bank, because the clients have adverse.
    - Natwest accept adverse, why dont you use them?

Excellent! Why are you selling homes? why not come and be a mortgage advisor, you clearly know more than me without even looking at the clients credit report.

    Today has been eventful.

I wouldn't have discussed it with them, certainly woulodn't be justifying a recommendation or discussing client circumstances.

Here id your DIP. Sufficient for clients needs. End of

Yes, it is a very sensitive one.

We have a lot of rows with Builder/Developers and EA's because we wont tell them which lender we are using or send them DIP copies.

Had to re-register with Woolwich as the last case I sent them was March 2013. New log-on issued 10/03/14.

Still can't log-on as they've only set me up on half the system. "Oh, we're aware. It'll be sorted at some point." New build purchase, due to complete 31/03...still no DIP. Having to port the existing as they won't waive the ERC which finishes 31/05/14, even if clients take new product with them

8 working days quoted to assess initial paperwork. BDM's response "Nobody's going to knock themselves out to help you as you don't send any business to us"....Is it any f**king wonder with service standards like this?

The joys of a broker. Accord in meltdown and asking not to submit business. Uncle Max at Woolwich doesn't know if he is coming or going (and has he any money to lend), and so far 1 hr and 12 mins on hold to speak to Santander BDM!

The Woolwich phone number was telling me to phone back earlier as "there's an emergency."

Another case of having to do the solicitors job.

'We can't get indemnity insurance as the donor is self employed'

'Yes you can but you can't use a standard policy. Try Aviva who have already confirmed to me they will quote it'

'They won't do it I am telling you' 'Try ringing them' I said and even gave the phone number.

    Policy now sorted.

£499 in legal fees to know sod all!

Why in God's name won't lenders change their processes and send a copy of the valuation to the solicitor on HTB - EL cases?

The HCA HomeBuy Agent won't issue the ATE without seeing a copy of the valuation so every case we do we have to specially go through the rigmarole of getting a valuation issued.

Halifax is worst, the client has to phone Colleys for it, they won't even speak to us.

    Oh my $$$$$$$ god!
8 phone calls from nationwide now.
Told to re-dip it because a middle name was missing.
Then told it will take a week before i get an answer from an underwriter.

Just after i re-dip i get ANOTHER phone call telling me to change his income despite getting a letter from his employer confirming his wage.

They are basing commission on last years P60 despite us not evening needing the commission for affordability.

My hairline is not doing great at the best of times but today has not helped.

So, i redip the case and get told they can transfer everything across great. Then i get a call back telling me they can transfer all the documents across but it will take 2 days and then another 2 days to look at them, where as if i just upload them again it will only take 2 days.

I ask why they need to re-assess documents they have already assessed... errrr, we have high standards. I actually burst out laughing.

1 hr and 35 minutes are still waiting. I have purposely avoided Shabby for over 3 years, and now I remember why!
