    Hey pb,
Sorry to hear about the job, but hope that the 'strange' things are very positive and that things work out for the best (even if they may not feel like it at the time).
    Sending good vibes x

    Thanks giblet. :)

Sorry I didn't reply to this sooner, and sorry I haven't been around much.

Right, so here are how things stand. I have been offered a job, which should start approximately mid August. I'm waiting for official paperwork and checks to be conducted, and they can take quite some time. I'm not sure I'm going to love it, but I will try and I am thinking of trying to carry on looking for another job in the meantime, and I *HAVE* to get myself out of this mindset that I won't get a job in a different sector. Yes, it's tough, but that doesn't mean impossible.

Soo...money have been thin on the ground. Today I have asked my electricity supplier to please give me the £183.23 they have taken off me in overpayment. Apparently this refund will take some 4-5 weeks, but I'm getting it back anyway.

I'm also in dispute with my old car insurance company. It's a long story, but they have done something they shouldn't have that has cost me a *lot* of money, so I am going through the complaints procedure to get it sorted. I've waiting to hear back from the ombudsman. (Daren't be any more specific than that in public.)

Other than that I need to capitalise on the nice things that are here in my life: the things that I would like to turn into my career need time investing in them (that's one thing I *do* have at the minute; I need to cook and eat better cos I don't seem to be doing that at the minute (should be cheap as well as healthy, innit) and I need to keep riding my exercise bike 20-30 mins a day (after 10 mins meditation). Hmm...I think I will be writing my little 'Ta Da' list here every day to keep me posting.

Right, money stuff, as such, isn't the best thing for me to post on at the minute, but related stuff it will be until the pennies start rolling in.

Oh, and I opened a NISA to put said pennies in. Perhaps I can deposit the contents of my penny pot in it just so I can feel proud I've added something to it. :rotfl:

So here is today's Ta Da list:

    Meditated
    Rode exercise bike
Got electricity refund and changed DD date to more convenient one
Wrote card to someone I've been meaning to do for *ages*
    Spoke to job agency
    Updated here! :D

Oh, I also cancelled my TV licence as I have loads to DVDs to watch and never get round to it. They are going to refund me £24.30 but I am sure they owe me more than that, so I had better get onto that and see what's going on.

It's Refunds Central round here! :rotfl:

Cor, a strong wind has just taken up here. How strange!

Anyhoo, I hope you are all well.

    Speak soon. Take care. xxx

It sounds like a very challenging time PB but also that you're on top of things. Fingers crossed the new job will be better than you think, but even so, it should take the pressure off whilst you look for something else.

Thanks giblet, but suggesting that I'm on top of things might be going a little too far! :rotfl:

Right, I have done little since I was on here last: figured out how to transfer money between my current account and NISA (oo-er - posh!) and advertised a concert ticket for sale on Facebook in a few groups and on my wall. The concert itself is not for ages - and not in the town I live in, so I'm not sure how well it will sell. I've looked into selling it on StubHub but they are very vague about how much they charge, so I'm not sure how much I would need to add onto the ticket price so that I don't lose money on it, so I emailed them and am awaiting a reply. I think they do it deliberately, but I hate touts so I'm going to try to sell it as near to the asking price as possible.

Anyway, back to it I do. Must tidy up the mountains of paperwork, post card and get ready for my weekly lesson of turning myself into a bendy thing.

Also, tomorrow I *really* must sort out my council tax and housing benefit paperwork before it's too late.

Oh, and my other discovery of the day: Ebay *FINALLY* allow us to save drafts of things. Thank heavens for that! :D

  • Hello everyone!

It has been a while. A LONG while. I have been lurking round other peoples' diaries a bit but not posting here. Things have been busy. And complicated. I'll fill you all in when I get the chance, but have a brilliant time this Christmas and I will speak to you all soon, I hope.

    :xmastree:Merry Christmas, everyone!:xmastree:

  • Hello again, everyone! Happy new year to you all!

Again, I have been thin on the ground. I need to haul my beehing back here and get sorted, but I feel as though I am trying to sort out so much stuff in my life at the moment that I can only get so many things out of the way at once. I'll be back soonish, I'm sure, as my finances need an overhaul but have a wonderful start to 2015 and may it bring you everything you want it to! xxx
