PB Rides Again....Life's Never Smooth, Is it?!

OK, so I've listed a miserable 4 items. And watched a lot of Ted talks on Utube that I was using as inspiration. (Some are amazing, the current one a bit annoying.)

I'm going to set up a plan for tomorrow on my new white board (oooh!) and get up early and STICK TO IT.

Here's hoping for some mega listings. (BTW I think I may list too in-depth. How in-depth do you go? Jwil doesn't do too much from what I have read. What about the rest of you?)

I have a template (well, Word doc ) which I tailor. Basically I put in a little bit of effort to make item sound more attractive, I rarely bid on anything that just says 'Next skirt size x'.
This is a lovely XXX by XXX, size X. It is xxx with a xxx print, really eye-catching and unusual. X neck, slightly scooped, with a xxx.

Great with leggings or jeans, it hangs lovely and is very flattering. Overall length xxx.

100% xxx, really soft, machine washable.

Been worn but in great condition, I’m only selling as it doesn’t fit me anymore/need more space etc.

Please check out my other items, I will combine postage where possible.

Comes from a smoke and pet free household.

Ok, with books i tend to mostly just list on amaz* n quick, easy and i can decide straight away if the price is one i am happy with.

GG advice is brilliant. I tend to hit the sell similar button on the bay of e. I just change the description but my font colour etc. is all already set up. There is some standard stuff i have below the description so i don't need to change that such as smoke free home, pet free home. If you buy more than 1 item i will give a discount on the posting etc. all that sort of stuff. - bit like the last few lines on GG's. GG may be selling better stuff than me - if it is a quality item i will do a longer in depth description - if its an item i'm listing for a few £ it is a brief description. Like the firt bit of GG's before 'Great with leggings.

I did find the listings really tough going - i didn't do them last week and forced myself to do them yesterday i am not sure if its because its just a few low value bits that it was so hard. I guess soon enough i'll have nothing left to list except on the odd occasion i go off something..

Thanks for the tips: I already have what I refer to as my 'standard T&Cs' for postage etc. but I always feel the need to give a good description - probably too in depth for smaller items, TBH - so I will try to knock back on that and use the 'Sell Similar Item' button more.

Well, I've not listed all that much. I ended up going out yesterday as I have been spending too much time in my abode recently and it's quite solitary, so a quick trip into town was a good thing. There were many festivities on, and I got a bit of shopping done, so I had fun and bought some things I needed to buy as well. If anyone can tell me where to buy metal scrubby scourer blobs that don't come apart after a wash or two (like they used to do), then please fill me in.

I have a temp. job starting tomorrow until Thursday. I had no idea how much of a faff is it was telling the JSA crowd about it, though. Inefficient isn't the word! This could lead to a full time job so I went to find the place I'm going to tomorrow this evening. Apparently it was only 17 minutes away from where I live (yeah, RIGHT! :rotfl:) so I'm glad I went so I don't have to struggle to find it tomorrow.

There's nothing else too new or exciting, but I need to go to bed now. I'll fill you in on the piffling things when I get the chance.

Well done on the temp job-I hope it leads to something more permanent for you.
I was in bed before half ten and alarm went off at half 6.
So I'm up and at it, I have stuff in dryer so I can pack some of it.
Just having a cuppa and Mr tc just doing some jobs. Work jobs.

Spends: £3.50 pizza for dinner £0.85 whoopised chocolate desserts. (:o ) = £4.35.

I need to cook fresh tomorrow.

i am glad to read you got out the other day too - i need to do that more and now that i've *almost* decluttered the entire house i may even go for a run at some point soon :eek: The fresh air and head space and sense of achievement will do me good

Actually, I really need to get out and about more as I don't seem to out many places at the minute. This week is busy cos of work, but the last few weeks were kind of quiet.
