I've had the worst of times - now for the BEST of times!

Wasn't Thom Evans the rugby player who was dating Kelly Brook? I don't see it myself; face chiselly... not my thing!

I am not a strictly watcher, but sometimes when with my mum I do watch it, and enjoy it. there is always one cringeworthy celeb though. Sounds like Judy Murray is this years... I struggle to watch their dances!!

I am very happy that you have found your motivation! Super busy day yesterday but I love days like that! You feel really good at the end

A summary of today.

The good:

• Day off work. :j
• Harvested a whole heap of beetroot and made some sweet and sour pickled beetroot, yum.
• Made one plait of garlic, will do the other tomorrow.
• Tons more tomatoes.
• Got more tidying up done in the garden.
• Something that was worrying me with DD2 turned out to be nothing to worry about.

The bad:

• Pane of glass broken in the greenhouse.

The ugly:

• My only pumpkin has shuffled off this mortal coil and I threw the festering mess onto the compost heap. :(

That's all folks, tomorrow is another day.

A quick round up of today. :wave:

The good:

• Gorgeous sunny day with a lovely 'feel' in the air
• Made some lush oven-dried tomatoes
• Went for a nice walk at lunchtime
• Did some more freelance work

The bad:

• Budget is not looking promising for Christmas because ....

The ugly:

• Was accepted for a Christmas job yesterday only to be told today that there isn't a suitable slot in the rota for me. Now I have to start all over again - gutted!

I am on a reserve list but there's not much point because they know what days I can do and I think they were concerned it would be too much on top of my full-time job.

Filled in another application form this evening - this one's nearer home so maybe it will work out for the best.:cool:

Very good point INOD. Mum always told me regardless of the outcome, doing the interview was very good practice! Think positive p&f. Good things come to those who wait and a lot of times karma steps in to fix things and make life easier. Hope this job closer to home is just perfect! We already know you are
