Works because they tend to fire omnidirectionally and your skull, being a round object acts as an amplifier. No different to putting a speaker in a cabinet.0 -

+1. I did it on a Ford Orion back in the day. I worked in vehicle recovery and we had a wonderful book of tricks that came with a set of tools which included......... 1/2 a tennis ball!
I won't tell the vintage porsche owners how simple they were to get into :eek:0
