Morning! (Still)
Paid stuff under way here. Interrupted my my mother who has signed on due to not having a foster placement yet  she has been for a JCP meeting and came out distraught at how everyone is treated
Q: She has a pension forecast which states she has over 30yrs NI. She's also been told she doesn't qualify for JSA as her most recent 2yrs don't have enough contributions. So I've suggested she sign off again. This won't affect her state pension will it? She doesn't get it for a few more years, but assuming she already has fully paid in, she won't lose any if she doesn't have a full record for the last few years leading up to retirement?
She can live off her small occ pension until she gets her placements sorted.
Right, groceries are required here.
Oh, I second what pigpen says, especially Mr A vests - far too wide! Unless you try the thermal ones, these seem perfect for DD and she has really slimmed down this last 12mths.Bossymoo

I'm coming back this week as I'm on annual leave and I am getting the house straight. Going to start with the stairs I think then bleach the bathroom!0

Afternoon all, I'm in.
Early start to my day as OH and visitor had to catch 8am train. As I said I'd feed OH's horse on the way back from dropping them at the station, and we are blessed with spring-like weather today, I took horse out for a ride. Felt so virtuous having fed, groomed, exercised and mucked out, I awarded myself a cappuccino and book out on the patio in the sun. Ah, that's where the hard work stopped sad to say. Came in about half an hour ago and have poodled round emails, forums and surveys. Now it's lunch time................
Will do better this afternoon. At least having had visitor at the w/e, most of the house is shiny (in preparation for her you understand; she didn't shine my house!). So it could be the dreaded office tidy this afternoon.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

I have a horrible feeling that it was 30 years and is going to be 35 for a full state pension for some people - dependent on age. I've been trying to find out for a few months in a haphazard, desultory kind of way, because if I'm right, I need to top up my contribution. They can be backdated so the panic isn't immediate. If anyone knows, please could they point me in the right direction of a link.Better is good enough.0 -
Afternoon All, Thanks for the list Dusty and keeping us on our toes! I had serious Mondaymorningitis and it seems it was contagious even though I kept away, sorry about that.
I texted a friend and she very kindly came and we drank coffee and put the world to rights and everything is as it should be once again.
Of course I need them for they are stationery and therefore ESSENTIAL
Most definitely; I only managed to infect one child with my love of stationery but his habit may be worse than mine!:rotfl:
Basic Flying Done but not sure which lovely suggestions to take from the pick and mix, decisions, decisions...

Afternoon flyladies
I'm in as best I can, but it's a bit of a disjointed week. DS2 had the dentist this morning again, despite being really good and positive last time he was howling before he even got in the chair todayHe has had another filling and is back next Monday for an extraction. I am dreading it already so I can't imagine how he's feeling.
DD is here today as welsh half term is a week after us, once DS2 was back to school we drove up to Ald!, got a few bits, went to the carp shop to buy small storage boxes for her toiletries and "bits", stopped off at Sainsbobs for more stuff, came home and attacked her bedroom. Half a black bag of too small clothes and a lot of reorganising later, all her stuff is tidy. We bought boxes for DSD too and from now on, if it's lying around they will have one warning to put it away, then I'm binning it.
I'm going to attack the lounge in a minute, I can't be the only one who gets cheesed off with constantly plumping cushions, surely?!0
