Spends today- £8.50 in Sainsbury's got me work food for tomorrow and made a massive lasagne of which there will be left overs for a couple of days.

£24 on a moisturiser from Khiels. Bare with me on this one! I have dreadful skin, for reasons I will not bore you with! So, I do like to have a decent moisturiser. I try to get free samples for the most part but there does come a time when one needs to be purchased! The thing I like about Khiels is that you can try the product for a while and if it doesn't agree with you then you can exchange it for a different (full) one as long as it's within 28 days of purchase. They also generally give free samples of stuff when you buy something.

Paid my rent, got my travel card so I know where I am with the finances.

Got a free Sanctuary body moisturiser in the post today. Quite a decent sized pot too :) Thank you to the freebies board and all those who post on it :)

Handed the dreaded assignment in and found out how to search the library data bases- 9 days till the exam, hope I haven't left it too late!!

Hoping for a minimal spends day tomorrow as I'm working...

    xx

Spends today- £6 on various refreshments at work. Hear me out on this one! Left the house at 5am due to the tube strike (no time for coffee) 2hrs of buses and walking later I get to work- coffee now essential and £2. The rest was on diet coke and some chocolate because I was seriously flagging during the day! Finally got home at 21.30. Thank God I'm off tomorrow!

Tomorrow shall also be a minimal spends day. Will go to John Lewis for free coffee and cake with my voucher :)

Picked up an extra shift and a half overtime for later in May. It'll make it a tiring week but needs must.

    I'm pooped- bed!!

I have got to gain more ground with my essay today, this is getting silly! Baby steps though, today I need to 1- work out how to do a literature search on the library databases. 2- print off the sample essay so that I know I'm going in the right direction.

    Other jobs for the day:
    Gym
    Free coffee/cake in JL
Sort out admin problem with 2nd job
    Pay credit card
    Make GP appointment.
Phone university admissions re: dates for next module so I can get my annual leave sorted.

    Bye for now xx

I am within budget :) Even if I spend £34 on essentials in Mr T today in order to use my voucher, which I might have to do...

Didn't get paid for my extra shifts, maybe after the b hol or maybe the following Monday, not sure how it works. I'll get paid one day, that's all that matters!

Got a £5 of £20 spend in WHS. Need to buy pens for exam and since there seems to be some good magazine freebies out at the moment I might stock up on those for my hols too...

Exam on Weds, last non working days prior are today and tomorrow. Feeling a bit stressed! Better go do something about it now!

The essay is written! Now I just need to memorise it for the exam... Hope this can be done in 2 days, feeling vaguely optimistic that the hard graft is over :)

Spends... £25 on nandos/drinks for myself and OH today. In my defence, I'd been in all day writing the darned essay and felt I deserved a treat. And I'm still (just about) within budget. Well there won't be much opportunity to spend this week as I'm working every day except wednesday and saturday. Should help a bit!!

Haven't updated for a while, hope all is going well in money saving land...

I have had a stressful week, had my exam- on the fence as to if I've passed or not, just glad I get to forget about it for 6 weeks! Also I have worked every day including 20 extra hours.

The budget I would say, has pretty much gone out of the window. I couldn't focus on all the exam stuff and be a MSE as well! I have bought food at work every day, went out for dinner after my exam which was expensive and I paid for myself and OH. Also bought a couple of items of clothing post exam as a treat. I now basically am at the bottom of my budget and pay day is still 13 days away.

On the plus side, this will not put me in more debt, just means that I won't save as much as I'd like this month.

I'll be working 6 days out of the 13. Need to make these NSDs. Will just have to be frugal for the rest!

Must go now as I have to post a jacket I sold on ebay- will only make about £5 but anything helps at the moment!
