My colleague and I (who both bought the L&G ISA online from our home PCs, so it's not an issue with our company's internet connection) are both waiting for our transactions to track since 16 July.

No apparent reason for them not to have tracked - Quidco show them on their dropdown list to raise a chase ticket, so Quidco do have their record of the transaction.

Earnings enquiry has still only reached the "being processed" stage after ages. Not very impressed with Quidco's turnaround on this.

Steve. I had "looks fine to us", towards the end of August....
But ermmmm, what does "paid in Sept", mean if not September.

Mine hasn't moved from 'tracked', in August....
Anybody actually received it.. Don't get me wrong, I'm not crying the usual "they've ripped me off", but it is a complicated one this one.. It's not an end to end CD purchase after all.

Yours is a bit of a complicated situation. If you haven't already done so i'd contact quidco and ask them whether you need to put in an earnings enquiry for your transaction. (ie tell them your first attempt for the isa application tracked properly but you didn't complete it and actually you took out the isa several days later which didn't track!).

I don't know if you've used Quidco before but waiting a few months for payment to come through isn't unusual though.

Just wait until it gets to the "sent to merchant" stage. I've had an earnings enquiry stuck there since February 2006! ;)
  • D'oh! My colleague put his enquiry in a day before me and seems to be a month ahead in the process, which is a bit annoying. So he's been "sent to merchant" and I haven't.
  • The cash account is only a holding account, you cannot just put money into it and leave it for a year, sure there is a tax rule regarding that area .

Best bet is lower risk fixed interest securities with no entry/exit charges charges. Fixed Interest has lost 1-2% over the last year. High Income has done well but (6% or so) but the future is very uncertain at the moment....

This area unlikly to fall by more than 3% over the next year so might hedge your bet rather than equity based.

I've had my £110 marked as recieved on my Quidco earnings so look set for a payout this month! :j

(Shamefully, I've no idea which product I went for in the end or whether it is likely to be a good investment.) :o I shall only pay the £50 p/month until the end of this tax year though.
  • Holy batman.. So have I!!
If you don't want to keep it, you can always pack it in as soon as you've actually received the cash.. Why wait till Apr 5th 08..

To find out what it is you've got.. You can of course, ermmm look at your original paperwork, or log in to your online account...

Other option is keep it going, of course. Or transfer it out to a supermarket if you want to get involved even more...

July 13th, till now.... 2 months.... Cash get's paid end of Sept...
100 quid in, two payments.... It's worth 105.29 so with the 110 from quidco, that's 115.29% return! in two months.. lol
  • Got it..... .paid by Quidco on the 3rd. Good to their word there. Turned up in my account (bacause of the weekend, of course) today Monday 8th....
110 from quidco, two payments of 50 quid in, plus it's increase in value to 109.50.
Now I can transfer it out, to H&L perhaps, as everybody seems to use on here (I quite like the look of selftrade myself, but a further look awaits)

110 of free cash, so I might bung that in the scheme as well....

Truely happy with one. Never 'won' 'owt in my life.... Not often one has a happy Monday, is it....

P.S as a matter of interest which ones did people go for... I went for one of the Ethical funds... Not holding out on you, can't quite remember which one it is at the mo... It's the accumulation version as well...

Go on who's put a 100/500 in and it's now valued at about a million.. lol

I am so happy I found this thread! I have been wanting to open and mini s and S ISA but had no idea where to start as I am a complete novice. This 85 quid incentive gave me the boost to go ahead and invest a small monthly investment of 50 a month (High Income trust fund) to get me started! I shall keep learning about S and S. Any more tips welcome because I have been really frustrated about S and S, being a complete novice. For ex. I called Vantage today wanting to open an ISA. They were asking me what I want to invest in. How the ef should I know! I was just looking to have the fund managers make all those decisions for me and I can just log in and see how my money is doing, lol. Is there such a thing?

    Thanks OP!
QUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D

If you are looking at unit trusts and OEICs then there are two thousand of those. Most fund supermarkets carry the main 1000. You pick the funds to suit your investment strategy and risk and the fund manager will pick the investments within the funds to match those aims. i.e. A European Growth fund will typically look for growth by investing in European companies.
