I do have a few photos of the children, other than that it's stones and fossils, a few momentos from our travels that wouldn't really be classed as either ornaments or souvenirs and some candle holders/burners.

I don't like clutter so I don't have many ornaments, vases, candles, lamps, and a couple of framed photos on my mantlepiece. On the walls we have canvas photos made from pictures we have taken on our travels. And fresh flowers, always fresh flowers.

I will confess to having one Lladro piece, I don't like it but I love the person who bought it, so it sits on the window cill almost behind the curtain!!

No books downstairs we have a concealed bookcase in a bedroom, floor to ceiling behind wardrobe doors.

A few ornaments that mean something to mean, like one from a very from a very special pupil and a Grogg of Neil Jenkins.

I nearly forgot my Terracotta Warrior, which I carried home from China in my arms.

Photos: the kids' graduation pictures, one of my parents and one of grandson number 1.

    Not much dusting done, though.

  • I have candles and a few (modern) ornaments. I also have some photos of special times around.

I would love plants in my house but I am rubbish at keeping them alive........ I think I either over water or not enough, I just never could get it right!

I see your lladro and raise you two cows. :(. I had forgotten about them. One either side of a window sill almost behind each curtain :o.

Sometimes I think I don't love the person enough. :o

My neighbour gave me two big onyx horse head ornaments, to be honest they're awful and each one is about the weight of a brick! If you dropped one it would either go through the floor or smash your foot!

I keep them in the dining room where she can see them, I don't like them but wouldn't hurt her feelings for the world.

I have lots of plants - about 20 in the living room, 10 on the landing, 3 in the bathroom, 6 in the toilet, 4 in the kitchen.

I also collect pig ornaments and have lots of them throughout the house

I don't like ornaments. I also don't like those twee things that some people have hanging everywhere (padded hearts or birds etc). I really like great design so I like to buy functional things that are beautiful. For example, my fruit bowl is a beautiful soapstone one made by a local artist.
  • Not a fan of ornaments at all- OH however does like them. We have compromised. We have one terrimundi money pot, and a Galileos thermometer! Also a photo of our wedding, and some vases of flowers (which are often empty so hidden away!)

That's pretty much it in our flat! ;)
