is it an individual monthly contribution that has failed, or was it a manual purchase?0

The only time this happened to me it was because I picked a unit class that was not available for trading. Are you sure you have successfully purchased "Y Acc" units of this fund before?
yep i own £5250 worth and always add 250 or so
i sent II a message so lets see what they reply.. in around 5 days0 -
seems I cant topup Fidelity UK Smaller Companies Y Acc anymore now, only sell
edit : Your buy order for Fidelity UK Smaller Companies Y Acc failed as the holding is now subject to a Soft Close. Unfortunately, you are unable to purchase more of these shares.
what does a soft close mean?0 -
While my account seems to be running quite smoothly (low be it spoken and touch wood),:) one of the relatives is now having problems again - duplication of entries, and sums not properly added to "available to withdraw".
This seems (so far) to centre around holdings in Schroder Income Maximiser and Foreign and Colonial High Income - the secure messaging followed by complaints process seem likely to start once more......:eek:0 -
i have been with AJ Bell for 18 months after leaving II, and I am still very happy to be with them, my dividends are paid on time, my secure messages are normally replied to within 48 hours.
It's totally worth paying them the extra money imho. I end up actually paying less then 0.2% because over £100,000 is free. The higher my portfolio goes the cheaper it gets for me.
Would never go back to II in a million years. Their service never seems to improve. People were complaining about them not responding to secure messages and not paying dividends 5 years ago, and nothing have changed.0 -
