Nocto No. You have to tell them - or they will continue charging you - bad people.0

They close it down without finishing the transfer and owing dividends. Looks like my partner will have to involve the FOS.
Its dangerous to make generalisations about iii based on personal experience. My experience is the opposite of yours (and different from others here), I asked them to close my account when I had transferred out and the last dividend paid. However the accounts still open, which is actually quite useful since I had forgotten several months of unpaid isa tax refunds, which are still dribbling through.
I did have a shock just before Christmas when they sent out their standard message saying they were going to charge me £20 fees on 1st Jan. But I decided to forget about over the holiday and try to deal with it in January. But come the New Year no money left my bank account :rotfl:0 -
My transfer to AJ Bell is almost complete, apart from a few dividends yet to pay out and some cash. So I am hoping they will keep my account open for a few months, so I can see which dividends come thought. But I suspect my account will never close anyway, because looking at the account I apparently still hold 10 funds with them worth a grand total of 67p between them. Because when they transfer the fund, they didn't bother taking the number to 4 decimal places. So I still have 0.0023 units for example in one fund. So that's going to be fun to sort out at some point.0

Same applied to my account - the odd few pence but they still closed the account.0 -
I have been with these guys for about 9 months and my experience (apart from the time taken to transfer funds from HL and Cofunds) has been OK.
I usually get £20 trading commission credit from ii every quarter, but this January it was £50. Can anyone tell me why: is it a one-off, an annual thing or will it be a regular thing. I've tried looking for an explanation on their site but couldn't find one. Can anyone advise ?0 -

Sounds like the £120 trading credit you get for transferring to them, which is paid as £30/quarter plus the regular £20/quarter.0 -
Thanks for that reply.0
