T-Mobile will not follow through the agreement of unlocking my handset

My point is that it should be unlocked at the end of the contract.spannerzone wrote: »And it was explained in your previous post why this happens, you got a subsidised device locked to the network. That's why they sell 'sim free' devices at a higher price. But you don't seem to want to acknowledge this as it isn't what you want to hear.0 -

Sure; I think it should be doable; you've both entered into a contract and each has fulfilled their obligations.spannerzone wrote: »That's not an unreasonable point for sure but that's one of the problems having a contract phone I suppose, you're at their mercy to some degree.
Me, I've been with Orange since before the "7" was inserted as a second digit in mobile numbers, and I've currently got a iPhone 5 about half-way through a 2-year deal.
I'm not unhappy with the arrangement (though they did alter my package for a price reduction when they told me they were going to reduce the price without changing the package), and don't feel a pressing need to move.
When nearing the end of the contract, I'll either have them unlock me and take up a new deal, or I'll move elsewhere or to a SIM-only deal with that same phone.0 -
Update:
I sent a second letter, waited eight weeks, no response from T-mobile (disappointed).
I sent my complaint to the CISAS complaining T-Mobile failed to responded to my second letter and failed to give me the unlocking code and instructions.
T-mobile argued strongly from there legal department that they did not need to give me this information, even though the company agreed to this.
The case was heard, and the CISAS awarded in my favour. The cisas told me to contact T-mobile to pay for the code and instructions. I telephoned T-mobile, i spoke to four representatives. none had knowledge of the case. Two calls were accidently terminated.
terrible companyTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -

Did you get an email address or even postal address for their legal team? I'm sure when I took T-Mobile to CISAS last year there was a legal team email in the correspondence (I can't remember, perhaps check through the second half of the T-Mobile price increase thread for details).
Use the legal team to arrange it, or print out the CISAS decision and put the request in writing to their head office address with the decision enclosed.
Most of the current CSA's employed by EE wouldn't know what CISAS was.====0 -

I contacted the CISAS again, and they contacted T-Mobile/EE directly.
The CISAS deadline was the 25th June.
Currently I have finally received the unlocking code (took seconds to use). I also received the apology, but still waiting for the £29.00 from T-Mobile, I have asked CISAS to look into it. once this payment is done, good bye. I cant wait to get away from this companyTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0
