Well that's the phone calls made and a new complaint lodged with NRAM. I think they had my name wrong. The guy I spoke to last time had recorded my middle name as my last name, maybe that's what the problem was. Now there's nothing to do except wait and see.
I had another mortgage too a long time ago. I have no idea if I was sold ppi or not but I might just phone up to check.
Hope everyone's having a wonderful moneysaving day.

yes do. Dont be fobbed off with anybody saying there is a time limit. One of our claims went back over 20 years. We had the account n number and that was it. Used a template MSE letter and got 6k back no questions asked:eek::DBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Hi there 32b3in2013
Good to meet you. Thanks for dropping by and for your encouraging words. Feel free to hang around.
Well it has been a bit of a spendy week for me. Here's the damage:
Food shop £6.30 (I'm still living out of the cupboards and freezer, brown rice anyone? I have a mountain of it.)
Sweets and crisps £2.65
Tobacco £5.22 (I know, I know, I have cut down loads though)
Paint tester pot £1.55
Total £15.72
I have a seriously limited budget for this month and I have managed to stay within it so far but I'll need to have a look at my bank account and check how much is left.
I've been having a think about the house move, what I can take with me and what I can sell. My bedside tables need to go and my free standing mirror. I'll get those on gumtree as soon as possible.
Also, my mobile phone is not charging properly, I think the connection is a bit dodgy. By some flukey coincidence I also got a text from EE this week saying I'm due an upgrade. So, I plan to stay on the same deal (which I'm quite happy with), get a new phone and sell the old one. Apparently it is worth around £100 but we'll see how much I actually receive.
I need some hair dye. I've found the cheapest deal at Sup**drug so may treat myself this weekend. Also my cousin just had a baby so I'll be sending her a card.
I can't think what else right now. I have one week and 6 days until payday and I'm determined to manage until then.
Happy debt busting everyone.
If you know you have enough, you're rich.

Crikey Ani.....are you up with lark or out with owls??
I have a pasta mountain. Seemed a bargain at the time on Approved F:o At the moment , as a family, we are all trying to cut back on the cards so it will be while before this mountain is scaled:D
Good luck with gumtree. Facebook seems to be good place to sell too.Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Up with the lark Igamogom, otherwise known as insomnia, wonder it it's the debt that wakes me up in a sweat in the middle of the night?
So I just upgraded my phone, the new one will be arriving on Monday, same tariff as before. Quotes for my old one are coming in at £94, I checked reviews and they look like a reputable company, mobile cash mate. So it's all happening.
I also have a buyer for an old pair of ski boots at a tenner. They're coming on Sunday so hopefully I can get rid of these things.
All being well, I'll have £104 for the moving fund by the middle of next week. :jIf you know you have enough, you're rich.

Fab stuff ani - you'll have that £700 before you know it
Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £105,664.31
Mortgage overpayment savings - £16.85/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £800.960 -
Igamogam, £6k ppi reclaim?!?!?!?!?! That's awesome!! Don't know how I managed to miss that, think I read it as 6 quid. :rotfl:
I've been doing some calculations re. the house move and realised that since my rent will reduce by £175 per month (:j isn't that great? And for a much nicer flat too.
) then I will have that cash spare on contract signing day to contribute towards the £700 deposit.
Also £200 of the deposit is for the purrball and according to the previous tenant, who has a much fluffier purrball of her own, the leasing agent never collected that deposit. So maybe they'll waive it for me too? That would be very good, but maybe I'll need to have it just to be on the safe side.
This plan is coming together perfectly.
If you know you have enough, you're rich.

When you worked out what PPI you thought you might be owed did you factor in the accrued interest? Remember don't be fobbed off. You didn't ask for the PPI and you didn't need it.........Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
