Just been messing with this on my (Nexus4) phone and it plots exactly where I've been over the last 30 days - very interesting.

However - I have to be careful that this doesn't sound like stalking :o - Mrs B's phone only says that she has been here at home. Which setting hasn't she got switched on to locate herself using mobile data ... and not just the house wi-fi ???

    Sorted :o

The Tracker App wasn't installed on her phone!!!!!!!!

nope, you link his device with your Google account
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)
  • I don't have kids but I find this a little weird and it may cause unnecessary worry for the parents when they see where their child is and also cause a child to be even more rebellious.

If everyone installed these Tracking Apps, then Taken would never have been made, I'm sure you will agree that would have been a big loss for film lovers :D

Not in the case of Taken 2 no it wouldn't !

The app is called simply 'phone tracker' - I *think* it's 'made' by someone with 360 in his name. It has a green & black circular icon.
It works fine on my phone, but still can't get it to work on Mrs' phone :(

Since the location tracking stuff is on the google site - I would have expected it to be a google app rather than a 3rd party ?
and since Android Device manager can pick up your location without an app - your would think location history could too ?

Although it seems google have removed the stats part i.e. dashboard ?

Edit: just found a setting which might affect it
Settings | Location, then scroll to bottom of screen to find 'Google Location Reporting' option - which in my case was off

Hmmm, that *was* ticked already - the only unticked one was 'Use Quick GPS' so I have ticked that too now - we will see.

But, as I said, that is ticked already and ... no good! :(

Also, it's not uploading any photos from her phone.

    Where is that 'confused' smiley?
