With the Easter weekend I had totally forgotten that its market day until bf's mum called in and asked me to go to town with her as she wanted to try out our pushchair!
Since bf has gone away today and I have plenty in to last until my new GC budget kicks in on Monday I figured I'd use what was left from this month's budget to stock up on a few bits we need for May - as bf is off to America for two weeks he needs some cereal bars etc to take with him and we are off to a tournament over the bank holiday weekend (Friday to Monday) so are best off taking plenty of snacks etc to that too (why do leisure centres seem to only sell cruddy food at super inflated prices?! Captive audience I guess as we have to be there all day grr!)
Today's spends:
£1.30 toothpaste from market - 30p price increase!
£4.00 in Lidl : cereal bars and instant noodles,
No more spending planned from the GC until the new month starts and bf is away until then to make sure hehe. In fact only possible spends are to be me sending some money to my dad for him to go to Aldi and pick up a few bits in their baby event!

recovering spendaholic - please don't worry about the angiogram. I have had several and they don't hurt. The most painful bit is when they put the painkiller in you don't feel anything else except maybe a bit of pushing as they do what they are doing. You will have a nurse with you as well as those doing the procedure and just tell her you are a bit worried and would like her to hold your hand until you feel ok about it. It isn't painful. I have had them through the neck, arm and groin. You will have a fairly big bruise after (especially if its through the groin) and probably be a bit sore. Hope everything goes well and will be thinking of you. You should - if you want to - be able to look on a screen and see the wires going up. If you don't want to just get them to angle the screen away from you. ME . . . I am nosy and love looking and asking what's that bit.
Brought a couple of items today in Morry's and when checked the receipt at home discovered that they hadn't charged me for 24 Weetabix even though they were put on the conveyor belt, so total £2 less than it should have been.
Have just has sausage, mash and vegetables as cabbage and broccoli wanted using.

Hello everyone, I've done a small shop in my local Co-op and a bigger shop at Sains where I spent £17.50 of nectar points. I'm very close to my target of £800 spent so far this year by end of April, but pleased with amount of stuff I have in for this week. This week's shop also included bleach, some toiletries and batteries, bought 3 tins of Ambrosia reduced fat rice pudding at 54p each. Stocked up on loads of fruit and veg, good to use nectar points but will be back to Aldi for these next time.
Been given some lovely eggs and fresh bread and being fed by my mum tomorrow, roast turkey.
Am eating very healthily and have reduced amount of carbohydrates I eat quite a lot, which is long overdue. My tea is now variations on chicken or fish with salad, which I'm chopping apple and walnuts into -- the nuts are expensive but I have a new found enthusiasm for them, they are quite high in calories so try not to have every day.
Have lost 10lbs in last six weeks, lots more to go but very pleased with that.0 -

Morning - Help please - is anyone on here doing SW as well as grocery challenge please?
Joined SW yesterday and went to buy supplies and spent a fortune!! It will last at least until next Friday - so will work out what for April and what for MAy and divvy up between the threads.
I am not sure whether or not to stop the GC whilst doing SW as losing a lot of weight is very important - really my last chance to get healthy and slimmer.
If anyone has any advice /suggestions they'd be most welcome. Thanks.July 16 £95/£200
Nov 16 £0/£200
