Dinner plans changed, fancy something a bit lighter than carbonara so were having Aglio et olio (spaghetti with garlic and olive oil basically)
With leftover salad.
So will have jacket potatoes tomorrow and a very sparse fry up in the morning with some eggs, tinned tomatoes, a few slightly old looking fried mushrooms, frozen hash browns, toast and a slice of bacon each!

Spendy day today in preparation for the OH visiting. £5.55 in Sainsbugs and used another £5 nectar points as well, got a bottle of wine, YS potatoes, reduced profiteroles, and restocked the baking cupboard.
Got hm pizza dough on the windowsill in the sunshine, trying a smitten kitchen recipe that says it needs to rise for 6 hours (?!), will top it with leftover red pesto, value mozzarella and YS mushrooms from the other day, and going to batch cook bolognaise to use up the rest of the mushrooms and some month-old pork mince that's lurking in the freezer.New graduate trying to get debt-free.

Tesco order done and scheduled for Tuesday. £47.51 including delivery after I applied a £15 off when you spend £60 code
Won't add to my sig until it's delivered; I've worked out what is from which budget so I know how much to take off. Roughly looking like:
£18.00 baby spends
£6.05 treats spends (chocolate and soft drinks to stash to take away to the tournament early in May)
£2.50 delivery
So taking that £26.55 off the total spends the total from the GC will be £20.96; very happy with that as currently we are buying quick/easy cook meals and some extra freezer items as we adjust to having baby and try to get in to a routine.
May try to not shop at all week after next other than bananas, milk and potatoes but we will have to see how we get on!************************************

DH forgot to pick up the beef roast from SB last night, so I'm going to wait until Monday morning and just go to Aldi for stuffs. They have beef roasts going on sale for £4.99/kg and I can pick up some flour and milk as well.
Doing pretty well at not spending money! Did end up getting a 2L of pepsi (£1) and went to the chip shop for dinner last night. Those come out of a separate budget though, so not counting those. Yesterday was my two year mark of living in this country, so we were celebrating a bit. Now to just fill out the paperwork for my indefinite leave to remain and I'm good!0 -
Well I am over budget and still a way to go until pay day
I've even used the last of our rice and mozzarella
I'm going to try to limit the damage by taking £10 out and lasting on that until pay day. Money is really worrying me at the moment£36/£240

DH wanted to go to Aldi tonight for flour and chocolate. I know where this typically leads! Instead, to sate his sweet cravings, I told him that if he dried the dishes while I washed them, I'd make american style buckwheat pancakes for him. He agreed, I made a batch, he had three with golden syrup and is happy without the chocolate now!
If anyone is interested, this is the recipe I used for the buckwheat pancakes: http://celiacdisease.about.com/od/breakfastbrunch/r/HodgsonPancake.htm
We are out of butter, so I melted some coconut oil to use instead. I also used fruit sugar instead of sugar (4 tsp instead of 2 tbsp) and added 1 1/2 tbsp flax seed. This is a really good gluten free recipe as well (as long as the buckwheat flour is gf).
Forgot to say, I have three pancakes leftover cooling too. That's breakfast sorted for tomorrow now.0
