    Hi everyone

I've been lurking around the March thread and would like to join in for April please. My budget is £80 for the month. I have no idea if this is realistic, there's only me and my furry purr ball cat, but I guess I'm about to find out!
If you know you have enough, you're rich. ;)

Hi, Thanks for running this thread, really appreciated. I'd like to swap to a yearly budget please of £2,400. This is to stop me feeling like I've gone 'over' in a month when I've been under a certain amount for preceding months. My GC includes all household items, cleaning, food, toiletries etc. it's now for me and two teens and could be lower but I'm happy with this figure.
Thanks for all tips, inspiration and support.

Not doing too bad this year - but trying to get down to £160.00 all in for month. Freezer looking quite healthy and store cupboards still quite full, so have been looking at the inspirational recipe suggestions and am about to do my April food planner.
    Good luck all!!!!!

thankyou for the new thread! Please put me down for £180 this month, its up a bit, but I will have to do a major restock of the cupboard and freezer

Already I have spent £16.55 on basics, and thats before we have been able to go and do our main shop.

I'd like to rejoin you all for this month please, was doing ok, til we discovered the allure of takeaways and bad food! I think £200 a month starting with the next weekly shop on Monday, will be plenty for us both, including almost everything, meals out (except for preplanned birthday one), takeaway, non food groceries, snacks, Etc.

Now time to ruin OH's month, he hates this sort of thing :rotfl:

This is such a good idea because although I have been well under budget in Feb/Mar I am only making up for the overspend in Jan. I don't think abandoning the monthly figure will totally work for me as I am likely to go mad and not have enough left to last me the year so I have adjusted my sig to show both sets of figures and the average per month to date.
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.
