    Hi all,

Couldn't use the broccoli last night as it had gone yellow :( so used frozen sweetcorn and frozen courgettes (from the garden last year).

If the broccoli isn't fuzzy, could you turn it into broccoli and cheddar soup? I don't have a blender at the moment (not even a hand held one! *cries*) but it's really good and a great way to use slightly out of date broccoli. :) Hope that helps!

Good Afternoon all, I'm doing FABulously well this week, the fridge is nearly empty, but still have plenty of mince, chicken, fish, Veg and potatoes in the freezer, Need to get out of this "fog" in my head and plan next weeks meals. DS'sDD has requested liver and onions for tea so will be having my first grocery spend of April on the school run. I'll use a proper meal planner later and shop on line for anything I haven't got!

(ooo must visit sister for some eggs - will take her some toilet roll as a swap!)

Yes the GCJ soda bread is brill - just a few simple ingredients and you can whip it up in less than 5 minutes. I would never bother with anything involving yeast, kneeding, waiting for things to rise but this is soooo easy.

I used whole milk as that's all we have in the house these days and it was fine with that too.

Going to try a variation on it this weekend with some wholemeal flour.

I'm thinking about trying to use gram flour for a pizza base instead of wheat flour. Need to research it a bit first though. Even if I end up just cutting it up and stirring it in with toppings, that will be ok, so long as it tastes like pizza! :D

Have you seen thelondoner's blog? Not something I'd normally link to on MSE as rather extravagant but she has a great recipe for pizza bases made of cauliflower (doesn't taste of it at all). She has some other good carb free / low carb recipes too.

You could make lasagne with sliced aubergine or courgette as the 'pasta' sheets. You can also make fake spaghetti with finely sliced courgettes, apparently.
